as long as I run the tank to empty and drive it nice after fullip I’ve had 0 issues.

This is the exact same method youd use to go from a 93 to e85 tune or vice versa. The only thing you're doing any different is not flashing a different tune.

Yeah, the issues is I don’t want to be constantly flashing new tunes in when there are good flex tunes out there.

1- adaptive learning in the 10-speed gets reset which takes a long time to smooth out.
2- reflashing computers more often increases a chance of a problem with the cpu which would really suck.

You don't have to reset the adaptive learning when you flash a tune in.
We have flashed PCMs hundreds of time without issue.
I do agree that good flex fuel tunes are possible.

With HP Tuners and RTD3, you can basically do a partial write to the PCM, which prevents adaptives from being reset.

huh, really? I guess my drawer full of SCT/BDX is actually usable?

BTW, how "realistic" is trying to "drive" on a dyno? Ie. pretending you're in moving traffic, or backroad scratching. Not just stomp on the gas pedal and wait for the spark cut? Ie. is it possible to detect drivability issues before it leaves the rack?

Yes SCT XCAL4 is supported with PCMTEC. You can export a TEC file to CEF via Advantage. Contact us or SCT if you'd like to do so.

In the 2018-23 GT, hpt was lacking some critical parameters needed to make flex work. And since most shops use hpt, they opted out of flex tuning. That may extend to 24+.

Ray mentions at the tail end of one of his videos getting background changes done that aren't typically available in hpt.

Most of my customers with 24 and newer Coyote Mustangs are running our Flex Fuel tuning. It works great and I run it on my own 24 Mustang. No problems whatsoever.
I cannot answer why others do not offer for sure, but to do it in HP Tuners it requires some stuff being done outside the HP Tuners software in binary to make it work properly...which we have done in our tuning.

Thanks for the response Ray! I seriously considering pulling the trigger.
I added a throttle controller which really helped with the pedal lag on the manual trans but It could still use some added torque in the mid-range which I think e85 helps a lot with.
Does E70 on your flex get the full 30-40hp gain you think?

Yes sir, E70 is plenty of ethanol. From my testing, I did not notice any loss of power due to ethanol content until it got below the E40 range.
