I almost bought this 17 from them back in August until I Googled the VIN and found a thread on here that showed the car was a buyback car. They tried to tell me they had no clue and it was a clean title local trade in. That car is still for sale at a dirt cheap price. I hope if anyone on here is looking they see this warning and pass on it. It is on engine #3 and this dealer will not disclose that fact. They choose instead to state it is a local trade in, which it is not. It's down to $46k now from the $49,500 from when I was dealing on it. They also claim a "manufacturer repurchase" is not a lemon law buyback car. It may not be but to not disclose this to a potential buyer to me is unethical.

If you can warranty it, If I were in the market I’d consider it. As long as I can get a good warranty deal and long as no structural issues exist. Anything else is just a part to be replaced.

I was working with Endurance to purchase an aftermarket warranty. When they ran the VIN and saw the buyback, it was automatically ineligible for coverage. Thank goodness for this site or I may have gotten stuck with that car.

Endurance sucks. Check the Granger warranty. Much better choice.

Dirt cheap? $46K for a 2017 is a good deal?
With 21k and a clean record very much so, have you been looking for one over the last 6 months? (and in a hard to find color)

The Auto check is on the dealer website but shows no engines replaced. The first owner had it a bit over 2 years and it was auctioned with 5,514 miles on it. Has had 5 owners.

Correct I almost trusted the Autocheck but the Carfax shows Dealer Repurchase. They totally ignored the Oasis too.

I don't honestly see the concern if it's got a fresh third engine what's the difference?
branded title is the concern, you don’t think that should be disclosed?

Absolutely any title and discrepancy should be disclosed by any reputable auto car salesman but keep in mind due diligence and buyer beware play an important role as well you're looking at a sports car that sort of sits in a gray area how do you know it's on its third engine I didn't see anything like that in the carfax report. Furthermore for 45 or 46,000 I think it's priced right whether it's on its third engine or 8th engine if you want a granny driven garage Queen you're going to pay north of $65,000
Carfax shows it is a Dealer Repurchase. When I questioned them they denied it was a buyback car saying dealer repurchase isn't the same. They also refused to send me the Oasis report, which I asked for multiple times. Then they tried to pressure me by saying if I didn't want it there were 3 others waiting. That was 2 month's ago (at a higher price) and the car is still sitting. Remember they also state on the ad it's a local trade and reiterated this to me. They later admitted it was an auction purchase.

It's just all too fishy to me so I ran fast. I luckily did my due diligence and glad I did. I'm just warning potential buyers about this vehicle and the shady ways the dealer acts. I would want to know all this before entering into a transaction with them.

Yep this is the post that I found the day before buying it. Thank God for this thread or I would have “inherited” this hunk of junk.
Was the 2nd engine replaced? I'm assuming so and the 3rd engine has about 15k miles on it. So, it may be just fine now. Sounds like that's all that was ever an issue, and the 5.2's early years were known to have quality issues.

Correct the guy said the 2nd motor was bad out of the box. I couldn’t trust a car from a dealer who tried so hard to hide the vehicle history. I mean telling me a manufacturer buyback is not a lemon law buyback? I would advise any buyer to take a wide circle around these guys.
