I have the Gibson Black catback is there a way I can buy just the down pipes from the headers or just the Flex Pipe Delete? What size is the outlet from the cats? Would I be better off just to have my muffler guy swedge in 3 inch? I want to get rid of that restriction without doing headers right now.

Im glad you asked this. I'm confused as well. Coming from the headers and after cats, is that 2.25" or 2.5" stock? Does anyone have the stock exhaust sizes/specs handy?

Yeah, 5.25" past the weld of the cat then the rest of the way through.

Actually I forgot there's about 3 inches on the lethal kit for the stock clamp before it goes to 2.5" so more like 8 inches past the cats.

Just installed mine today; man I erred on the side of leaving a little more pipe than needed and positioning that H pipe in there can be a little difficult. But overall an easy job, just gotta do some man handling

Sounds great, not too much difference in tone when youre driving (even with windows down), but the idle and revs sound alot better when your outside of the car listening to it.

Will be installing the Roush axel back as soon as it gets shipped (whats the hold up Roush?)

Definitely. Although I have heard it already, it's nice to hear it on different setups, as in the recording hardware. Different recordings make it sound unique, I know nothing beats live, but just building an opinion based on recordings will suffice for a decision.

Oh right a word of advice/tip to anyone installing this, check your mufflers when your done. I didn't remove the whole exhaust, I did it from underneath jack stands. Two days after installing I was washing her and I noticed one of the mufflers was hanging real low, and the tip was halfway below the rear diffuser and where it would normally sit. I thought I knocked it out of the hangar on accident, and either the heat of the muffler or it rubbing took off a small corner of the diffuser. You can't really tell unless you look into it. So I backed the car up on my ramps to check, still in the hangar. What had happened was when I cut it near the rear of the resonator the weight of the factory muffler caused the muffler to rotate and sag, so when I put in the rear coupling and torqued it down I never noticed it.

So I went back underneath, loosened it up, laid on my back and used my knee to push the muffler as high up as I could. I could watch the stock pipe from the muffler rotate in the coupling that connects to the H pipe kit. While holding it up I torqued the clamp back tight again and it holds it just fine.

Just something to watch for when installing this kit. The right side looking at the rear was pretty okay but still had to be adjusted, it was the left that was really bad. I didn't take any pics just hurried up and fixed it because I had to run out and was low on time and couldn't bare taking her out and looking like the muffler was about to fall off the car.

Didn't see if the question was ever answered. Can you purchase the flex pipe delete without the H or X pipe? I'm guessing since I don't see it on their site it is not. Guess I will have HP Racing make me a 2.5 or 3 inch flex pipe delete to get rid of that crap.
