Get it…Got a “thing” for 2016 Magnetic mustangs and Bullitt shift knobs. Me too. Beautiful car.Spent part of the long weekend changing out the differential fluid, then swapped out the shifter bracket bushing for the Steeda replacement. Certainly a much more stout piece.
Also installed a Bullitt shift knob to finish off the interior.

Looks good! But, Yee! God! That front plate! Who ever designs those must hate cars and have really bad vision. I mean Coke bottle bottom lense vision. Not a lot on the five year - multipoint inspection, oil, and filter pretty much covers it I think. The big one was last year (plugs and brake fluid included). I think our service schedule is the same as over that side of the pond, maybe just with a few omissions i.e. mistakes.
It also includes the stamp for the body inspection to keep the paint / corrosion warranty valid - Ford U.K. will kick back a claim if this isn’t done, AND this time I noticed it was an additional tick box on booking in to get it done (cynical ? Who, me ?).
Our MOT (your state inspection) is independent of the Ford stuff, but the dealer offers it at the same time so for the few £’s you might save, it’s not really worth making a second booking for the MOT elsewhere
Thank you !
I don’t edit photos (other than cropping / resizing) before posting them on here and it’s rare the iPhone captures the colour well - this time it captured it pretty good.
Often it looks washed out - I’m wondering if the heavy sky and large dark blue background made for a favourable camera setting / exposure ?
Another realistic one taken immediately before the first picture I posted, so the same lighting conditions etc :

Ignore the front plate, unfortunately it got loose and fell off again just before driving home …

Looking good. Quick question, the bonnet vents on yours is black. Was that standard? Mine are colour coded. I prefer black tho ha haAnnual service and MOT (inspection) :

It's not activated on any GT's as far as I know. Vaccum gauage is. But not the boost portion.Isn’t this already activated in PP cars

No doubt it was on with one screw two threads deep.

Time to start looking in the classified or breakers yard then. Ha haScrews …
3M ‘command’ removable velcro tape …
They are replacement OE shadow black vents.
I kept the lime ones complete, so I can swap back in future if I feel the need.
There was a time when replacement vents were a popular mod - I followed the thread, PM’d everyone that did the mod who had a black car, and got lucky with someone who was prepared to ship.
Without partially destroying an original vent, they are tricky to repaint. The mesh is held between two pieces that are ultrasonically (or heat) welded together (after painting).
Some have said the vents come apart easily (not in the case of the three pairs I own). The pieces that disconnect / separate easily, aren’t the pieces that sandwich the mesh.
Either risk breakage, mask off, or paint the mesh black with the vent (I have a new unused pair like that which actually look really good).

Update - it worked great. Fills faster too.Two mods to the mod. Strapped the tube to the handle and inserted a long 1/2" compression spring to prevent it from kinking.
