Lots of research and listening. Have a good friend who was a Discount Tire manager for years helped me decide. Getting a set of these put on tomorrow. Price wasn’t horrible.

You will love them. I put a set on my GF's Subaru, got 50000 miles out of them and they performed great even in harsh winter conditions.

All I can say is wow! What a difference! Went from these fairly new (but terrible) Accelera Phi tires that the stealership put on just to say it had new tires. $50-70 max per tire. Terrible grip, rough riding, poor steering/handling and honestly felt unsafe.

the old coming off…

The new Continentals installed…

The ride on the Extreme Contacts is so plush, but not at all mushy. Great steering feel, very good grip/traction, and they just make the car feel so much more stable and planted. Like I got a different car better.

Thanks for all the advice!

Need I say more? I saw this last week while in traffic. Women love these tires, so I am told.

Just went through this whole thing. Watched videos and read reviews for months. Ended up picking the Conti ECS 02s. Best priced, one of the top performers in dry and wet conditions and one of the new tires I could find in 295s, I’ve only had them on for a week but so far, they’re much better than the OEM Mich that came on the PP1s. As of now, I’ll def buy them again, but like I said it’s only been a week.

I’ve had mine (the original ECS) for going in 3 years now and I really like them. I’ve got about 11k miles on them and they’re at 6.5/32

As a new mustang owner, I felt that it was my duty to do lots of burnouts on my oem pzero tires so that I could upgrade to the continentals ecs 02s. All that I have had before was Michelin PS4S and I needed cheaper tires this time around. I vastly prefer the Contis over Michelin and will be buying the ecs 02 from now on. I have been enjoying these continentals for over 15k miles.

I’m a Michelin fan. Run them on most vehicles. Put a new set on a Fusion we had, and hated them immediately. Discount let us change them out for Continentals, and we were very impressed with them.

I have a good friend who has been a manager at Discount for years, who never steers me wrong. Told me he thought that for the money, the Michelin PS4, or these Continental Extreme Contact were the best tires. Also thought the Continentals would last longer.

Only had them since Friday, but I’m a big fan.

Several weeks in with the Continentals, and still extremely impressed with them. Worth the money for sure.

No great surprise here. Very few if any Conti’s or Michelin’s get negative reviews. In this case you truly get what you pay for. :like:

Nankang CR-S are serious bang for buck UUHP tyres fwiw , no plush ride , all out performance . Will be fitting a set once i have my new wheels . Now might not outperform Michelin Sportscup 2 on the edge but be damn close for half the price and supposedly last better .

If anyone is interested in why tires like Michelin are so costly, this video is a great showcase of what goes into making the tires and some cool looks at their factories and machinery.

Personally, I do not believe the lower end tire market has this type of quality, QC, testing, etc, which is why I'd never consider any of them.
