How wide of tire can fit on a 10.5 rim

I've looking for new set of rims - staggered 20".
I'd like 20x9 & 20x11
I'm really limited since I want "Chrome"
I did find a set that are 20X9 & 20X10.5
Can a 305 fit on the rear? (safely)

Depends on the profile and the tire itself (sidewall stiffness) but generally yes. Look up tire specs at manufacturer's or Tirerack's website and it will show range of wheel widths that it will fit on.
It also can fit on a narrower wheel that in the specs with some elbow grease but the tire techs will end up hating you.

Yes, the 305 will fit on the 10.5" wheel. Chrome does limit your choices.
