Quite a bit louder than stock, and a much deeper tone at idle, but cruising there's almost no sound inside the car. It's perfect.

I guess I really need to find someone local to get a true sense of "loudness". Your video at the start of this thread make me think it was a little loud than stock...

I've tried the Borla S Type as well as the AWE Touring and wasn't happy with either of them. Both were too loud all of the time., and the fitment of the AWE Touring was less than ideal given the cost.

Then, I found ZeroTX's video of the Thermal R&D system.

I installed it and couldn't be happier. It fits better than the Borla and AWE, and the sound is exactly what I wanted.

Cold starts are a bit louder than the stock non active exhaust, but not annoyingly so. As cold start idle comes down, the sound drops to a nice, deep almost cammed tone.

Get on the gas though, and this system gives a sound that reminds me of the FRPP FR500S mufflers on the 2005-2010 4.6 V8. It's a nice V8 tone that isn't obnoxious or overbearing.

At highway speeds, there is no drone.

I'm super picky, and the Thermal R&D is a 10/10 for me.

I couldn't get the tips to sit level no matter how much I tried to adjust the system. I ended up selling the system and getting most of my money back.

By contrast, the Thermal R&D system went right into place and sat level without any extra time or effort.
