I'm attempting to connect the GT with Forscan for the first time and I get "unable to ID vehicle" because of the custom tune. It has a box to enter the strategy/calibration name or part number of the Factory PCM. Searching online the factory PCM # should be on a white label on the PCM below the fuse panel. I can see a Bosch label, but the numbers didn't look right and Forscan didn't accept them.

I checked the vehicle info in my tuner and none of those numbers worked either.

Anyone have experience with this and the work around? Thanks in advance.

Looks like the best course will be to return to stock tune, give Forscan a try, and then put the tune back in. All I want to do is get rid of the annoying two honks and door chimes.

What I'm seeing is, on 2015+ models, the "H/W:" reference, the entire field, should be the number. This is the number you're referring to, the one not working?

In pre-2015 PCM units, it was simply 3 letters and 1 number.

I couldn't find an H/W number anywhere. Maybe the label is buried under the fuse box.

Thanks for looking for those. I saw those sites also, but couldn't see a sticker like that. I think some stuff has to be removed to get eyes on it. That being the case it will be easier to return to the saved stock tune so Forscan can connect. Not today though!

I resoved it today. Reinstalled the stock tune. Recorded the ECU strategy from vehicle info in the tuner for future reference. Then while in stock tuning, Forscan was able to connect to the vehicle and I saved the vehicle in Forscan.

I went ahead and disabled the double door honk and door open chimes, and then reinstalled my custom tune.

The number you are looking for is on a sticker on the ECM which is on the passenger side fender under the hood. Close to the under hood fuse box.

Your way works too.
