Hey! I'm glad it is not doing it anymore! Could you post the exact part numbers from your invoice? Mine Got part of it replaced but the shaft involves around around 6 parts between upper, lower, bolts, yolk etc

Ok I haven't posted an update been busy. They replaced my struts and the sterring shaft, nothing changed with the struts but when they replaced the sterring shaft it hasn't made the noise and its been almost a month now😁😁😁

Hello! Could you give an update if after 3 months the car is still not making the noise again not even once after the steering column was replaced? Asking cause I remember mine was quiet for a few months until it started to make it again. I've also noticed that it tends to do it more in hot weathers.

Yours isn't under warranty still? I got the extended warranty so it on cost me 100.00, I only have 46,000 miles on it. I would argue with Ford since this has been an ongoing issue. I wish you the best and hope you can get it fixed

mine doesn t bother me as I hardly notice it. I m out of warranty but only have 20K miles. The part is less than $100 so I d rather not even let the dealer touch it. Looks like 2 bolts and I have access to them easily it looks like. You posted an upper steering shaft and 2 bolts and 2 nuts. Just want to know what it is I may NOT know about installing such as torquing specs if needed and if it gets lined up in a certain way when you put the new one in. Thanks.

Greets all,

I have a strange noise coming from the front end of my car which I was having the dealer look at with my oil change which has them stumped and wanted to ask to see if anyone else had the same sound.

Turning the wheel all the way to the left and in drive stepping on the gas pedal (not hard, normal) there is a knocking/ticking sound that is coming from the footwell, and seems to feel through the gas pedal it only occurs initially stepping the on the gas pedal and holding the wheel like your making a turn, both in drive and reverse. This problem doesnt happen during normal driving or if you were turning a corner. I looked at the TSB 21-2284, but I dont think this applies as I am not getting a wrench and no malfunction.

Just wanted to know if anyone has run into this? Issue does not happen when the steering is turned all the way to the right. They have checked the whole front end and everything they say is tight, but they are stumped, obviously it won't do it on the lift.
Engine mount?
