Yes. Shifts are firmer. I think we need to get rid of the cat to be able to really wind the car out towards redline.

I think a intercooler would also let the power stay up in the higher rpms. If you look at FFTEC graphs on their website the package with intercooler holds power to ~6500.

I'm really excited to see how these cars do with basic bolt on's...

downpipe, intercooler, charge pipes, intake, and tune... can't wait.

I think once I get back to the states at the end of this month im going to order FFTEC intercooler, charge pipe, intake, and Accessport combo. Seems to be a good price and I think I will gain a good amount of power.

I had no idea that the GTI with the K04 was so stout. Found this Youtube video of one tangling with a Camaro ZL1 and more than holding its on - [ame]

I've got a Cobb tune as well. When you switch the map slot to econo, which below stock, I've noticed an mpg improvement of between 1.5 and 2. This is based on the same commute daily, with no substantial traffic delays.

How doggy is it compared to stock in the econo slot?

GTI with K04 on 100 octane file runs about 320whp and is roughly 3150lbs. They are not just little slow 4 bangers that most guys who try to run against them think they are ;) I outran plenty of muscle cars in my GTI and they all were shocked

Bit low on numbers haha most healthy k04 setups on 93 made 315-340whp ;) on 100oct (usually 93+wmi) they were easily 350whp. :)

I was using mustang dyno numbers. That's the only dyno we use..I have yet to see a k04 with 350whp on a mustang dyno

My bump on this...

I've had this tune for over 1000 miles now and I'm still very happy with it. Feels good, man ;)
