  1. Buying a 2016 Mustang, No Negotiating?

Truth is, their pricing isn't that great, in my opinion. There's a $599 dealer fee and they're including $500 military appreciation in the advertised price in addition to the $250 Ford rebate most everyone qualifies for if you purchase (vs. lease) the car. You'll also pay above average fees...
  2. WHAT DID YOU PAY!!!

$500 below X-Plan (which is $25,999 on that car after the $1000 incentive in my area) is possible, at least in my local market. Still, for $500, it might just be easier to walk in with an X-plan pin and walk out with a car. Depends on how much time you want to spend to get the best deal.
  3. Resale value, what happened???

I thought so too until I read the fine print: "All new vehicle prices exclude freight. Tax, tags, and processing fee of $300 in Maryland additional." I think not including the $900 delivery charge applied on the sticker of every car is deceptive. Dealer fees vary by state, but adding...
  4. Optimizing seat position for 6'2"

I've looked for steering wheel spacers or a deeper dish steering wheel that maintains the airbag, but nothing exists for the S550. The GT350 has a slightly (.29") thicker diameter steering wheel though for only $234. :) Put a steering wheel cover on top of that and you might gain a whole 1/4 inch.
  5. Optimizing seat position for 6'2"

Agree 100%. Of course, I can say that about most cars out there. If you happen to have a body type that's in the top/bottom 5%-10% of the population, it sucks finding a car that fits.
  6. Optimizing seat position for 6'2"

I'm 6'5" and have more headroom in a S550 Mustang than in the '16 WRX Premium/Limited with a sunroof. I hit my head on the track portion of the Premium and Ltd., but fit in the Base WRX with about 1/2 - 3/4" to spare. Best car for tall guys that I've found with a sunroof is the F30 (2012+) BMW...
  7. Drive modes

My impressions, never having driven a tuned '15, but having driven all the "modes" is that: tuned>track>sport+>normal>wet/snow in terms of the aggressiveness of the throttle mapping, although I'm sure your tuner could tune the throttle mapping however you'd like it for a custom tune. There are a...
  8. PP vs. no PP - how much $ is too much?

The price of the car without the PP is just that much cheaper ($4500) do to the dealer being more willing to bargain. I can't get them to move below X-plan minus incentives on the PP equipped car, so it's not just a ~$2000 option any longer, regardless of the retail/invoice price. Otherwise I...
  9. PP vs. no PP - how much $ is too much?

I'm sure this question has been asked a number of times, but if the price difference is $4500 between a PP equipped car and one without, where would you draw the line and go build your own aftermarket PP version? That's the situation I find myself in. The '16 the dealer wants to sell me, with...

Which OTS tunes improve the throttle response?
  11. Which tunes can adjust throttle position?

Which tunes/tuners can adjust the throttle position to increase/change the linearity?
  12. Sideways Shootout (EB/228i/FR-S comparison

This is what is wrong with nearly every new car made. Almost none of the "sports" cars made are fun to drive, even if they're faster/quicker than anything before. Unfortunately, I'm probably in the minority that feel this way judging by sales numbers of more focused driver's cars.
  13. Sideways Shootout (EB/228i/FR-S comparison

I'm comparing the FRS to the Ecoboost right now as I try to decide and I will probably compare them to the Camaro as well before making a decision. I can't seriously consider the new 2-series although I liked my 328i E90. In my opinion, the FRS feels better than the Eco in several ways...
  14. Does the EB ECU "dumb down" mods?

From what I've seen, with full bolt ons, drag radials, a tune and race gas and the base Eco is still a ~low/mid-12 second car in current form/current day tunes, in average air. FMIC makes it more repeatable. That's all there is right now from anyone out there, regarless of name, without going...
  15. ecoboost turbo lag?

I'm not sure it's turbo lag (although there's a little). I'm guessing you were driving an automatic? If so, I can second it has some lag in the normal driving mode. I need to try a premium in Track or Sport+ modes myself. I think that will help. Throttle response seems muted until you really...
  16. ProCharger Supercharger interest?

I'd be interested, depending on the impact of the parasitic impact of the SC on MPG on what will be a high mileage daily driver. Not 100% sold on the EB vs. V6 and trying to have my cake and eat it too vs. buying a base GT.
  17. Can We Talk About the V6?

Is it possible to get the V6's throttle mapping to change, like on the premium equipped cars, through factory or aftermarket additions at this time?
  18. 2015 GT Leasing

I can't say for certain since it could be rolled into the cap cost but there's a ~$645 acquisition fee somewhere to go with Ford credit on a lease.
  19. Gas cost comparison Eco vs GT - It's only 60¢ a day

In reading the post above, I'm reminded of a Top Gear segment where they did 10 laps with a Prius vs. an M3. All the M3 had to do was keep up with the Prius around the track. The Prius averaged 17 mpg, the M3.....19 mpg. Regarding the OP, I could argue with the numbers. The average gas...
  20. What's your preferred driving mode?

While I don't usually go to the trouble of turning electronic TC nannies off, I do consider myself fortunate to have learned to drive before they existed. The amount of people that don't know how to control a simple skid on their own is staggering. Granted, my parents probably didn't make...
