Just finalized switching my 2018 to ACI. Final annual premium on $35K value was $863.60. Very smooth transaction all done within 15 minutes over the phone. Agent was a Mustang guy and we actually exchanged Mustang pics. He had a very cool wedding pic he and his bride took in Michigan. Both still dressed in their wedding attire standing next to his silver ‘07 GT and her black ‘05 GT. He still has the ‘07.

On a separate note, I noticed on my insurance card it actually says American Family.

I take it all back lol. They did give me a quote but the underwriters declined to cover the car with the following message: "Unfortunately, we have to decline your application. The 2016 Ford Mustang does not currently qualify as a classic collector vehicle for our program, as it is not a special edition but we would be happy to take another look at it in a few more years." Strange as I've seen other's insured but ok, Hagerty it is.

EDIT: Figured out the issue. They asked me for photos and I sent them. The ACTUAL issue is that the car is modified which apparently no longer qualifies it as a collectors car.
I had a few companies tell me the same thing, it s not a classic as far as years. Hagarty is different in that aspect. Hagarty has to be qualified for but not a big deal in most cases. If anyone wants a number to an agent who has done many Hagarty writes PM me. He makes it simple. Mods can be covered too.

any method you chose for picking $35K? I went to $45 K so if something bad happens I ll be OK with rolling into something else. I have a 20 with low miles and a few extras like PPF/ceramics.

I special ordered in 2018 when most dealers had no idea what a PP2 was. 301A with active exhaust and cloth Recaros, I paid $38,750 after rebates. Almost seven years and 23K miles later, $35,000 is more than fair.
