Checked with our State Farm agent today and she informed us the '15 Mustang GT moved up only one notch in State Farm's safety ratings despite it's several new safety upgrades. The new GT will be used mostly by my wife as it will be taking the place of her '13 GS350 F Sport... as a comp her Lexus which cost about $18k more than the new stang is cheaper to insure by a few hundred per year.

How is everyone else faring?

I pay 375 through geico every 6 months for my Taurus (26, 2 accidents over 7 years ago, 2 tickets) and for an ecoboost they want 429. For a GT, they want 50 bucks more. Very, VERY reasonable.

Allstate, on the other hand, wants almost 1500 every 6 months from me for an ecoboost and i can't understand why.

I paid 329 through State Farm. I got rid of them because of prior experiences. I have geico for my 93 LX and its really good.

When shopping check Erie Insurance too. The other think to consider is sort of shopping backwards. Go to you favorite body shop ask about their side of dealing with insurance company's and ask about OEM parts.

It's good to know the cost of bargains to make a good choice.

May you never need your insurance,

Switching from a 2013 to a 2015 actually lowered my premium utilizing the same coverage. It was a nice surprise.

Switching from my 4 door Jeep to my GT only cost me $18 more a month. I think I pay $79 a month now for full coverage, $500 deductibles.

Always shop your local companies. If you compare rates with someone in another region, the price difference may be huge. State Farm in Pittsburgh, is not the same price in Philly. Plus many other factors, quotes should be tailored to you.

I was quoted like 128$ a month for full coverage from State Farm.
My wife's '13 Mazda 6 is like 86$
My '09 Honda CBR600RR is 34$
All full coverage, all 500$ deductibles.
