I sold my 22 GT500, got a 24 Dark Horse with 3.0L supercharger and it has the 10 Speed Transmission. I got spoiled with the DCT on the Shelby that I almost want to sell my Dark Horse and go back to the GT500.

is there a tune I can install to make the transmission transfer the power better?

Well, that was a strange decision. In what universe is a Darkhorse a better car than a GT500? Don't get me wrong, that craptastic screen and the exterior styling abortion are intriguing, but strictly from a performance standpoint, the GT500 is better from tip to tail.

I don't think any of the tuners can get into the Darkhorse yet (aside from Whipple) so you might reach out to them, to see if they can offer anything on the transmission side of things (if their calibration doesn't already include it) However, the 10R80 is mediocre at best. Even with tuning it is no Dual Clutch, or ZF 8 speed.

Did Henessey not include tuning for the transmission?

Maybe take this to the 750 page. 95% of us could never fathom getting a 650 over a 550.

It’s a great car, just miss the DCT vs this 10 speed transmission. I should have done more research on the transmission before I bought it

They did but I should have done more research on the 10 speed and the new 650….
It's really not the tuner's fault, the 10R80 is just not very good. There's at least one example every day when I drive my F150 of, "What the fook is this thing doing?" GM seems to have better control over the thing than Ford, but it's no performance transmission for sure. Go test drive something with a ZF 8 speed in it if you want to experience what a good auto should do.

Sorry for your loss, the GT500 is a great car.

Yes, I’m learning that switching from a DCT wasn’t a good decision, LOL
I like the extra power, the upgraded inside and technology but even with the extra 90HP, it doesn’t feel the same without the DCT

And I'm sure a tune and a smaller pulley on a GT500 would get you that 90 hp, easily.

Perhaps if it is a Henessey car, you might not have lost too much money on it. Of course, there's always the manual version of the Darkhorse. That with a Whipple would be something to consider. Especially with a GT500 front end conversion.

I’m not blaming Hennessey, they did a good job with the car but I’m probably going to buy another 22 GT500 and sell this one.
I have a 22 TRX Hellcat truck as well and that transmission is even better than this 10R80

Maybe you should have done that before making such an awful decision. Now you're stuck with a POS. lol
