I don’t know how much power you’re making because your signature is longer than “War & Peace” lol. What are you shooting for power wise?

Also, FWIW, another Camaro owner had his ported (roughly 800 WHP) and at the same boost level, I make more power than him as well, so the Kong porting paid no benefits there. Again, once my car is above 1150-1200 WHP I may look at it then, but that 3.0 blower is simply a great unit right out of the box.
LOL. You know on my phone I never noticed how long my signature was untill I logged on to forum on my laptop. I will definitely put Info in the about tab under profile.

Not done yet. Finishline will be doing this winter.
I am leaning towards just installing a 3.0" blower pulley, 6 rib crank support, FI Interchiller Heat spacers to go with my interchiller, and regulate boost with Smooth boost controller, and call it a day. If or when my transmission goes out, I will just deal with it then for removing the transmission and sending it off then wouldnt be a huge deal . Good luck with your winter mods.

Maybe someone like @RoadCone can chime in but I remember hearing it's not worth it if you're not going > 1000hp
Porting your Whipple is def worth while! We seen gains of 100ish to wheels a PD Blower is all about getting the air to flow in.

You’re operating at a slightly different level than 99.9% of the rest lol… I’m sure on a 1200 WHP build gaining power through porting is probably realistic. I saw no gain on a Kong ported 955 WHP Whipple 2.9 build FYI. And you’re definitely not gaining 100 WHP on an 800 WHP Whipple 3.0 build… ;)

Have you seen a noticeable increase of HP on whipple stage 2, 3.0 pushing around 900whp?

Whipple 3.0 can make 24-25 psi boost on a gen 3. Why port it? Unless your wanting 1100+ whp.
If the porting actually gives an added 60+ of "free" HP without changing anything, I would go for it.
But, I ask Kong to provide before and after dyno runs showing these gains. We will see.

Yes I was 1200whp plus. With that said it’s Free HP by opening an airway!! Just shows you that it does work.

That was my 3.0. We was able to do before and after pulls.
My 3.8 came race ported
That's what I was looking for thanks. One of my friends was a top tier ported when I was in Texas. Porting absolutely made a difference on my race bikes, and all of my race buddys car engines, mostly all Chevrolets with Ford 9" rear ends, LOL

Little difference between 1200 WHP and where you’re at though… Again, at 955 WHP I gained zero. But I’m sure Kong will take your money anyway lol

1200 WHP on a 3.0 is definitely at the edge haha. Good info, thanks.

I guess I'm am thinking 25 years ago when porting made huge differences in performance.
