Last thread. I recently may have figured out why I have surge stalling issues. The car runs 89 gas. When I first got it I didn't know. So I put 87 in it. Then I told my wife to do 89 but twice she put 87 in it. So I'm thinking that's why I'm having rough idle stalling and surging problems. If so what what are some ways to clean out and get rid of the bad gas? Should I replace injectors

Hate to tell you this, but you need to look elsewhere. The Mustang can run on 87 just fine. It will pull timing and not make max power 100%, but it won’t hurt it. Owners manual will confirm this. Even if a car required 89 octane fuel, using 87 wouldn’t cause the issues you were talking about in your other thread.

Two octane points shouldn't even be noticeable.
It most certainly wouldn't contribute to fuel leaking into the oil. Nor will it cause surging or stalling.
My EB is speed to run 93. It runs fine on 87. It just loses a bit of peppiness.

Ok I'm going to try and put back the original sensor and see what happens I haven't tried that. Maybe the one I got is defective

Can be ran with 87 on 89 no issue. It will pull timing to make a bit less power, but you should be good to run it. Maybe it could be bad gas?

Maybe let the car run for a few. Any smoke? When's the last time the injectors were cleaned?

Oh man. I'm not sure. Probably do need to clean them. Do I need to take them off the fuel rail to clean them
