The Weather Gods made good with the Driving Gods for a few hours today, allowing the sun to come out and brings temps up to a reasonable enough temperature to drive my new friend home. She's a 2017 that seems to have been well-cared for but would love for the original owner to hit me up if they somehow see this. Just ticked over 20k miles during the drive home, at which point I promptly put her into Sport mode to celebrate.

Original owner added in the factory rear seats, but the block-off shelf and owner's supplement got lost somewhere along the way (she exchanged hands 4 times so far, counting me). Paint is in horrendous condition, nobody ever bothered to clean the exhaust tips, and rear bumper is sagging like a MF. Once the weather clears and warms again, she's going to the local Ford for an inspection so I can get an ESP in place.

A nice surprise was the PS4S's seem to have great life on them still, not sure what I was seeing when I inspected the car but at least I don't need new tires for the moment. A/C works. And it's got the little foam block things to keep rocks mostly off the side valences. Oil temps barely kissed 171* during the leisurely drive home. Keeping her in the "weather" mode I could hear the very fast typewriter clicking very clearly between 1900 - 2200rpm. Found out along the drive that the dealership aired up the tires to 36psi....

The other R is happy to have a new friend.

Congrats! Looks like the one from Motor Werks in Barrington? I was eyeing it up for a little while. Seemed like a pretty decent deal especially with actual R rear seats.

Yessir, that's the one! Got them down to $64k which I felt comfortable with.

I am! We've had a row of 40+ degree daytime temps this week in Chicago so I've been taking her out on various errands, and getting a feel for her. Especially trying to get comfortable going over bumps, potholes, and uneven pavement we've got and seeing how/when the front splitter scrapes.
