Thank you for posting this. I think this is the first time I've seen the official 2017 document from Ford Performance.

You can Google them, put the year and look at images

The first sheet posted has incorrect information and is not from Ford Performance. The one below is but is from 2016. You can clearly see the difference in format. I got fooled but the top sheet once before too.

I just got a certificate of authenticity from Ford Show Parts and they include a sheet with the 2017 numbers. The numbers in the sheet I got don’t match what is posted here.
Here is the official sheet.

If yours doesn't match with this then you got an incorrect sheet.

I was hoping this was legit as it was sent to me from Ford Performance haha. I was in close contact with a Ford Performance Information center manager earlier this year trying to gather 2020 GT350 production numbers. They were slow to roll out those final numbers, almost 3 years later they made the 2020 numbers official. I was going to reach out to him again to confirm if my 2017 Production number sheet was either correct or not.
Either way thanks for gathering up information to help others gain knowledge on these special cars. 👊🏽

I just got it this week but if you say so.
Can you post the entire sheet so we can look into this further? The one you posted is cut off.

I always found it interesting to see how many pre-production GT350/R models were built for each of the 6 model years with the 2016 model year having by far the most pre-production 2-seat and 4-seat GT350's for the 6-year run.

Here are the pre-production numbers for each model year.

2015 - 0

2016 - 95

2017 - 21

2018 - 21

2019 - 29

2020 - 15

Total - 181

As a side note, the very first Pilot Production GT350R example was assigned chassis "PP001" and was a 2016 GT350R model.

That example was had an exterior paint code of G1 which as we know is Shadow Black but when PP001 was assembled on April 28th, 2015, the exterior paint color code of G1 was originally named Absolute Black and came w/Black OTT stripes but was then changed to the Shadow Black exterior paint name at a later date.

It was also interesting that this 2016 GT350R Pilot Production example was built 2 1/2 months prior to the launch of the "F0001" which was the first 2015 GT350R and allocated to Bill Ford.

Harry, are those 181 cars included in the Ford Performance totals on the official sheets from Show Parts?

Forgive me if the question is stupid, but why are there almost 5x as many PP cars in 2016 compared to any other production year? I can see more in a first year production run but that seems like a lot

Yes, the 181 pre-production (TT, PP and MP) vehicles are included in the 3,647 units for the 6-year run as listed by @rush0024.

Also, keep in mind that all of the 181 pre-production GT350/R examples had a unique VIN series which easily helps differentiate a regular production GT350 from a pre-production GT350 just by looking at the VIN.

Agreed that 95 PP units is a lot for one model year but as you mentioned the 2016 model year was the official launch of the regular production GT350/R model therefore Flat Rock built a lot of PP units with many of them being built prior to the launch of the 137 examples for the 2015 model year.

Going back when I started purchasing some 2012/2013 Pilot Production Boss 302/LS vehicles, I was fortunate to obtain window stickers for all of the TT, PP and MP 2012 Boss 302/LS examples.

For the launch 2012 Boss 302/LS model year, Flat Rock produced a total of 68 pre-production units, (12 TT, 12 PP and 44 MP) so I agree with you that 95 PP examples was a big number for the 2016 GT350 model year.

Anybody have a link that highlights the differences between an R and a non-R?
No link but the R has....
Carbon Fiber wheels
Carbon Fiber spoiler
Cup 2 tires 315 back 305 front
Rear seats deleted
Lowered suspension
Resonator delete
More aggressive front splitter
Recaro R seats with red stitching
Red stiching throughout interior
Red stripe on steering wheel
Red GT350 badging on front and back
Red pin stripes (if the car has stripes)
Red painted Brembo brakes
GT350R plaque in red on passenger dash

Overall about 100 pounds lighter than the regular GT350. There have been some tests where the R is putting more power down to the wheels, but only slightly. This is most likely due to the weight and carbon fiber wheels.

You could order a R without AC or a radio among many other deleted items from 2015 to early 2018. These were referred to as a Base GT350R. This shaved about another 100 pounds.

Did I miss anything guys?
