Regarding what I bolded above, is this in reference to the 5.0L? If so, how is it so different than tuning an '11 to '14?Well, we are not going to call out or shame any other vendors/tuners. But, we are part of an EXTREMELY small group that has the capability of custom tuning any 2014-2015 Ford vehicles. The 2015 MY is a smaller group still. For 2015 the calibration skill that is required is INSANE! Luckily, we were able to crack the tuning for the EB and 5.0L in a few days. For the record, we did not receive our car any earlier than the general public. There were SEVERAL places that had their cars (both EB and/or 5.0L) MONTHS before us. Just to prove that factoid, here is a video that we made on the SECOND day that we had custody of our EB Pony...
I know we had a bit of back and forth in your ecoboost thread about tuning based on log files. What I got out of it was that due to the complexities of tuning the EB (and based on how Livernois tuned the EB), that log files were not needed to fine tune an ots tune. And that due to the way things are logged on the EB, some of the numbers in the log file might not be a great representation of the actual number.
Do you guys take the same stance with the GT in that using a customer's log files wouldn't affect what you do with the tune?
I really like the experience you bring (and the fact you are out there on the track), but your hardware seems behind the times feature wise - no logging, no code reading/clearing, no real time parameter display, etc.
Is Livernois considering a more robust hardware offering?
