Which is the reason that I'm guessing Ford wont sell him one. Otherwise how was he not invited to the reveal but SpeedPhenom was ? Money talks I guess.
Iā€™m not a fan of Speed Phenom but at least he doesnā€™t blow his cars up. I just donā€™t think he knows as much about the cars heā€™s reviewing as he leads people to belive. But thatā€™s just my opinion.

Did you have the same disdain for Ford when they rolled out the GT a few years back?
The gt is a non entity to me. That it has a Ford nameplate means even less.

Been interesting over the years to see a great deal of negative comments posted by individuals that have absolutely no interest in purchasing the Mustang model in question and/or don't have the financial ability to pull the trigger therefore not sure what motivates these negative comments and aggressive behavior?

On the flip side, it is certainly refreshing to see many short term and many longtime Blue Oval enthusiasts continue to provide positive feedback as Dearborn continues to provide us with various outstanding performing, beautifully designed and exciting new Mustang models over the last 59 years with the upcoming 2025 GTD model certainly being one of them.

Iā€™d even add that all car enthusiasts should be excited about this car. A supercharged V8 with some really cool technology all over the car is exciting no matter which brand you prefer. It would be easy in todayā€™s climate to just say nah, weā€™ll do the truck, SUV and EV thing and keep the usual Mustang lineup around and not spend the money on a racing program. But Farley said eff that, weā€™re going racing and weā€™re going to build a street legal race car. And maybe with this latest halo car having the Mustang nameplate attached to it, it brings in new Mustang customers that keeps the Mustang alive for several more car generations instead of suffering the fate of the Camaro (again).

are people's purchasing decisions this vacuous and shallow?
I wonder what the panel gaps are going to be on a $300,000 car...

I look at business differently, I guess. You smash a homerun in the 30-50K price car that EVERYONE can afford, instead of relying on the supposed excellence of something nobody can hope to see, let alone own and drive...

Considering Multimatic is building the car and not FRAP, the fitment should be top notch. Having seen the most recent Ford GT up close and personal, the quality is through the roof. I would expect that with a half million dollar car though.

I guess I got lucky as my panel gaps are all pretty darn good. Only complaint is the taillight panel gap is a little off but itā€™s not terrible.

Comparing a mass produced car that rolls down an assembly line to a car that will likely be hand built (or at least large segments of it) isnā€™t a fair comparison. Thereā€™s going to be issues with mass produced cars. All brands have their issues until you start getting to the top of the line, high end stuff. And as I said earlier, I would expect more attention to detail on a car that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. Less of them are built so more attention can be paid to them and the pricing reflects that.

Totally agreed on the above with me being an older enthusiast who grew up in the 60's when the term "Pony Car" was coined in 1965 with the launch of Barracuda and Mustang models.

If I recall correctly there were 8 original Pony Cars including the '67 Mercury Cougar which was my very first car and that got me hooked on the Blue Oval brand some 55 years ago.

What does it say about the incredible history of the Ford Motor Company and in particular Mustang as once January, 2024 comes the final 6th generation Camaro will come off of the assembly line in Lansing, Michigan therefore the only original Pony Car of the original 8 to survive will only be Mustang and that is something to continue to celebrate as a Blue Oval enthusiast!

The Mustang has always been an 80% car. Ford sells you the first 80%, and the last 20 is whatever you want to make it. This is Ford making a 100% performance car. It's closer to an Aston Martin Vantage than it is a conventional Mustang, but it's long-nose/short deck, front engine GT car which loosely falls in the genre as it always has. It's just kind of the 'Singer' version of it.

I don't think producing these cars will have any real effect to the normal Mustang owner, but I think it's cool that Ford is actually engaged enough in the performance market to even build the car as a prototype, much less putting it into production. I'm impressed.

Enjoy my friend.
Bro is talking about having to sell cars to have a down payment. He obviously doesnā€™t know how it works. These cars are very likely going to all cash buyers with substantial assets, not dudes trying scrape down payments together and still pulling out a $200k+ bank note on it. I could be wrong but I donā€™t believe the Ford GT worked that way (scraping down payments together)

The problem is that the S550/S650 generation feels more like 50% car and the rest you have to rely on the aftermarket for it. It's an ok daily but that's about it in order to make it a performance car you need to spend at least half a car in parts.

How you think Shmee150 manage to buy Ford GT and Senna at the same week ? He is often talking about the UK financing firm that he is using who specialise in providing loans for hyper cars. If you think someone at that level of car purchases is paying cash for a car instead of investing the money in whatever business venture got them at first place. There special financing companies that specialise in that market and you can own super cars with very reasonable monthly payments because they have a huge balloon payment at the end of the loan term. It's very good schema which is why considering what StangMode is planning to do is suggesting he totally don't have a clue how this game is played.

Thanks and as you can see I have a passion for Blue OTT stripes.

The Shadow Black Track Pack and the Race Red Tech Pack were both 2015 GT350 models and came with Deep Impact Blue OTT stripes.

The 2018 GT350R was a Base model and came with Lightning Blue OTT stripes and of course the 2020 GT350R HE came with Guardsman Blue OTT stripes.

Unfortunately all those vehicles are all gone but to good homes.
