It isn't, it's in the factory tune and they are not going to let you do anything dangerous.
But removing this limitation can be quite dangerous as you, sooner or later will destroy the transmission or the torque converter by revving it higher than the factory limit.

As for me, I never rev an unloaded engine past 2-3k, and I am quite progressive in getting to that.

You might be right.
Asvering to the first question, I though about manual, but I saw automatic as more authentic Mustang expierence over the manual.
Ask a Bullitt or GT350 owner.

Odd. A lot of us think the exact opposite. Nothing wrong with autos, I just find them boring and prefer fun cars to have a manual.

I agree that manuals are more fun, in most cases.
V6, and 6 speed auto nothing iconic, but I feel like thats something that is about the mustang to be automatic.

I barely driven the car yet, I just got in running recently, so I dont know yet, but people around me who had mustangs before suggested me to go with the auto.
Also, I am from Europe, so manuals are more common than Autos.

I'm from the UK and it pretty reasonably split, maybe with a slight trend shift towards the auto over recent years :
