I called Roush and asked about supercharger maintenance. The lady said that the TVS R2650 oil will never need to be changed for the lifetime of the car. I asked what Ford and Roush considered to be "lifetime", but she didn't have a good answer. There is a drain plug in the back of the supercharger, but it's difficult to access.

For archive purposes:
Roush says if you do change the supercharger oil, use 150cc of Motorcraft XL4 supercharger oil.

The Roush supercharger #422090 is an Eaton TVS R2650.

So VMP uses the same Eaton rotor pack as the Roush and Edelbrock. This is from VMP's site:

While it's recommended to change the supercharger oil at 100,000 miles, if you pulley down to a smaller pulley or you run your vehicle hard, you might need to change the oil sooner (such as 30,000 miles or 36 months - whichever comes first).

They are usually pre-filled. Even my Gen3R was pre-filled. With a witness mark.
Ok that was what I assumed since it doesn’t actually state anything about oil and it wouldn’t make sense not to have it considering what it does… but when I was packing it up to sell I never heard any liquid sound coming from the head unit and it baffled me.

It’s about a 40 weight oil and only about 4-5oz of it. You won’t hear it. :)

Call me crazy 🄓! But I don’t believe the 18+ Roush uses oil… I read through the entire install manual and it states nothing about SCer oil or filling it (unless it comes prefilled from Roush) and when my shop pulled mine off I didn’t see any oil in it or on it so. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Listen to VMP! Most don’t know this but Justin and Roush used to have a close relationship, not sure about now. Anyway, he helped them with some design changes a few years back. He knows them well and IMO, the only person I trust to tune or install and tune my Blowers.
