”Muh gubment” at work. 🤡 What a waste.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/great-grift-more-200-billion-175720136.html

The Associated Press reported June 13 that scammers and swindlers potentially swiped about $280 billion in COVID-19 emergency aid; an additional $123 billion was wasted or misspent.“

“The federal government has now reported $276 billion in potential fraud, a figure that aligns with the AP’s analysis.”

Not sure why you’re starting a political discussion in this thread.

Are you suggesting that Trump’s administration made a bad decision?

“The three initiatives were begun during the Trump administration and inherited by President Joe Biden. Combined, the loss estimated by AP represents 10% of the $4.2 trillion the U.S. government has so far disbursed in COVID relief aid.”

Hello; You are the first to try to spin this post into a political direction. You actually mention Names. Tripple yellow mustang and i have been posting about the national debt. In particular the amounts we taxpayers are burdened with.

Hello; Have my final issue of Motor Trend. August 2023 Vol 75 No 8. Has an article : EEVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CHARGING AN EV AT HOME.
I will not get into the specifics of the charger outputs in this post. More to the costs of having a home charger.
One statement says "most American homeowners will spend around $1,150 to $2,750 to purchase and install a 240 -volt charging station at home." My take being this rang is if you are lucky. Several things can jack the cost of instillation up to $5,000 and even $10,000.

I had to do some thinking to determine if I am in the lucky category. I may be. One of the things which can up the cost is not having 240 volt slots free in your electrical panel. I think it takes two circuit breaker slots. I will need a 50 amp breaker and two empty slots. I think i have more than that available. My house has electric baseboard heaters in many rooms, all of which are turned off at the circuit breakers.
I have not checked the state of the incoming power lines and would have to before installing a home charger. Seems some houses do not have heavy enough lines coming in from the power company to handle the extra load of charging an EV in addition to running the house. Would be expensive to have a new service run into a house.

I may have a good enough panel already. 200 amps (I think) with some breakers than can be repurposed. If your house has an older 100 amp breaker box with perhaps too small gauge wires, then a very expensive new box and maybe rewire could be needed. "Qmerit CEO Tracy price estimates that 20-30 percent of home EV charger installations will today require a panel upgrade or a load management system."

I will have to make a choice on one item. That being where to put the charger. Cheapest would be in my basement garage and a charger with a long cord. Thing is I do not want an EV inside my house. I had figured to have the charger in my stick built carport maybe 75 feet from the breaker box. Running a heavy (50 amp) gauge wire that far will be costly. Around 25-30 feet will need to be buried. Likely better to spend extra and not burn down the house.

Maybe I could use a management system. As I understand such can be programed to only allow the EV to draw a safe amount of power thru the wires or panel. Turns out some BEV's have such a system built in so a feature to look for.

Enough for now.

You know she is special... wake up thinking politics. Can't help it.

If you bring up politics because one of the three "Bros" brought it up they start complaining you are setting them up. Can't make it up.

Guess is she will reply with some crazy meme or a weird one or two sentence reply that is funny only to her.

To answer your question, of course she hates that dude. He didn't attempt to grab her by her p***y when at an event.

Ha, you just turned a non-political discussion into a political one. And for what it’s worth both parties sold this country down the river a long time ago. There has been no conservative party for some time. The discussion relates to wasteful spending that could have been applied to other things, including the grid. Good try though. :like:

Oh, I know car manufacturers are laying off workers. As sk47 pointed out sometimes ”voluntary” is not as voluntary as it is made out to be.
Hello; Very much correct. The school system I put in over 27 years in had a crew in charge who went on a spending spree and caused a financial crisis for the whole county school system. The state wound up taking over the running of the county school system before it was all over. To climb out of the financial hole they had dug a scheme was hatched. There were 48 teachers with enough time in to qualify for a pension. I was one of them. The plan was a buyout if we took early retirement. We could get a years salary if we took the deal and retired.
Some were eager as they had 30 years or more in already. I had 27 1/2 years in ands had planned to go for the 30 to get a full pension. So, at first, I was not going to take the offer as it was supposed to be voluntary. Then the pressure started. I would be transferred to a different school out of the classroom I had been in for over twenty years. I might not have enough seniority and might be laid off anyway. I took the hints and put in for my pension.
Turned out OK for me. I was in demand as there was a shortage of certified Biology/Science teachers at the time. I was able to work six more years drawing a salary and my pension plus the extra years pay from the deal.

One lady teacher did not take the deal. She was out the second year later.

Agree, they always pressure and then cut the bottom performers. Basic business practice.

Hello; Luckily I know you and see thru the personal attack. The only criteria to be chosen was having at least 27 years of service in. Had nothing to do with performance. The trick was they could hire fresh out of college replacements and only have to pay them starting salaries. It would take 27 years for those new teachers to build up equal salaries. It was money as the bottom line.

Goodbye; You think so? I don't agree.

I read your other thread. This is the truck I recommend. You didn't have kids to "save the planet", you are often concerned with the environment, how people are treated, and race relations. This fits you nicely! You and the other "Bros" will look good in this one!

You never fail to perform! I'll be back in a couple of days and pull your string! :cwl:

Think of some new stuff to say your old comments are getting stale!

🙄The term is “yank your chain”; “pull your string“ means something completely different. Trust me, you yank no one’s chain; everyone is on to your game and you’re too dimwitted to fool anyone, yet to ignorant to realize it.You are like a caged chimp in a research facility, who laughs hysterically when the researcher shows the chimp a reflection of himself; in other words simple minded. I always welcome the musings of the simple minded. Can’t wait for your next unintelligible post in two days, where you make a fool out of yourself, yet again. Remember Earnest T. 1+1=2 days. And I will continue to give you the same “stuff”, nothing new, as I know it is touching a raw nerve. Until then:

So, the abbreviated response to my question is “Yes”.
Thank you. You could’ve saved yourself a lot of words.
