My New Wheels - Not Sure I'm Digging Them Unfortunately

Alright everyone - my grand idea and vision in my head may not have necessarily played out. They're here, ceramic coated, and gorgeous... Though it's such a drastic departure from what aggressiveness and anger the car had previously - now it's just more calm, classy, and we'll - I kinda feel underwhelmed.

They're the factory Ford 10.5/11 HP wheels, sent to California for some chrome, with that PS4S's (which are amazing by the way over the PSC2's).

They're fantastic, beautiful, bright, perfect condition, just... I'm not sure this is what I was looking for. Though here they are.

Please let me know what you think. I may be switching back sooner than I had anticipated. Maybe they'll grow on me. Maybe they won't. I have a set of the Platinum finished ones too sitting in boxes. Shit at this point maybe black would have been the ticket?

Maybe the factory color is the way to go. Never know unless we try, right?

Too blingy for your application. Would be like slapping a set of chrome cobra Rs from foxbody days on an S550. Go black or stay w gun metal stock. Just my 2 cents. But it's your car, and do what makes you happy!!!! I respect that

Doesn't look to bad. Give it some time to grow on you. Normally Gunmetal or Bronze looks sweet on red.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m a little schizophrenic. I like the chrome just fine and as I pointed out, I’m a big Cragar fan. But having said that, 2 of my 3 new Mustangs over the last couple years have had the black package and I thought they looked great too. I remember a thread suggesting that old guys weren’t supposed to lIke black wheels. Well, not so much!

They'll still do $799 to your door....Just call em. I bought a set of 19X10's for all 4 corners and I'm running 305/30/19's squared. If I wanted to run a staggered set-up I'd have already drove to Tenn. and grabbed these chrome ones from Swoop!!

Now I think the chrome wheels would look really good with this shade of blue.

I like them. I'm old school, so I like chrome wheels. I don't care much for black, as I think it hides the detail of the wheel, and just looks like a black blob. I like a charcoal color as well.

I'm with you. I cant stand black wheels. I have the stock black PP wheels on my car and I really don't like them. At some point, they'll get swapped, most likely for chrome.

Darker wheels go 100% better with the color combo of the car. Chrome does not work well with it, imo.

I had Cragar S/S's on my '67 fastback for a while till they started rusting.

Love Cragar SS rims....... Ran them on my 64 Skylark, 70 Cutlass, and a couple other cars. Wish they had them sized for the S550

I hated mine. Besides the rust issue, they came in a slotted lug for multi-diameter use, and needed offset washers, which were a pain in the @ss. Looked good for the first six months, then they started rusting. Was running Bias Ply Positraction Torque Twisters, until the BFG T/A Radials came out.

Every time I just quit thinking about these (like the price increase) something pops up to tell me I need to buy them. I have Eruption Green and these would look GREAT on it. hmmmmm
