760 hp + OIR is absolutely INSANE! I hit the highest speed over the jump that is called the "roller coaster" of all cars there this weekend. Day 2 started out wet. The track dried as the day progressed. I had more trouble with my Hoosier R7 tires. They were new for the weekend. I had bad vibration day 1 and after the 1st session on day 2, the front tires were corded! I switched to a new set of Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires and put a lap time down that was only 1 second slower than my Hoosier best time from day 1. This video starts with a multi-cam lap, has some fun highlights set to music and finishes with my best lap for the day... a 2:47! This is the most challenging track in the US! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks Phillip! I went with the phone mount in the link below. I also added a some stick on felt in the little shelf that is at the bottom of the nav screen. The phone mount does a good job holding the phone and the added felt assists even more on keeping it all stable at the track… I rest the bottom edge of the phone on the felt. FYI, you have to pull the dash panel out to install this mount, but it isn’t hard.

Fantastic runs! Looks like great weather and track conditions. What a great track, need to make it there sometime.

have you tried the goodyear eagle f1 3r’s? The are faster than the sport cups, and less deamatic than the hoosiers

I’m trying them this weekend for the first time, assuming they arrive in time before I head to COTA.

heat cycle them, and take it easy the first 1-2 laps….they are ice skates until they warm up…..once they warm up they are awesome.

Thanks for the tip. I had them heat cycled before delivery and I always take my time warming the tires before unleashing the power. I’ll see how these compare to SC2 & R7.
