Guy's. I came up with an aluminum fastener kit I sell for $35 shipped. I include 8 plus 1 extra. These hold up well, look better than plastic and work great.
Hit me up if you want a set.

If your GT500 is driven regularly on the street then yes use the rain tray.
If your GT500 is only taken out when the days are long and sunny then no, no rain tray.

My GT, with GT500 hood, is my primary car right now, so the rain tray is always on. Glad I had it on last weekend as we ended up leaving with sun and coming home in a torrential downpour.

I never use the rain tray. Even yesterday when I soaked the car with a foam cannon and pressure washed it. I even have two extra vents on my hood and I get so little water from all three vents it does not warrant a concern AT ALL. I have also driven my car in torrential downpour, and had it sit parked in said torrential downpour for hours with the tiniest amount of drops getting in.

Do what makes you happy

Same here….tray has been off for a year and Florida rains have caused me no concerns.

Removed the tray on the first day and wash the car every other weekend with no issues. Side note it also fixed my hood fluttering at 65-70 mph. Hood is rock solid now!

I agree. Hood is solid after removing. Worth it for that alone.

I had my tray in, then took it out. It has not been in since. Even washing the car, I just put a towel over the SC, and it really does not get wet. I have not driven in heavy rain, but I doubt anything would happen.

Day one removed from my now sold 2020. Same with the 2022. Out since first week. Been raining pretty hard all week in HTX. I drive the car rain or shine if I feel like driving her. Zero issues with the rain tray out in some pretty heavy downpours this week.

When driving no issues but I have gotten major belt slip and squeak after sitting in rain after being parked. I also prefer less water spots in my engine bay.

At the end of the day who cares if water gets on the s/c, if you drive in crappy weather the rest of the engine bay is going to get dirty anyways. My rain tray and side stripes were removed with in the first week of ownership.

I have enough other issues with my car. I don't need an excuse for water to get into any areas and cause me more drama. To each their own.
