Hi everybody, I have followed this site in the shadows for a bit and thought it may be time to become an active member! I have participated in many forums over the past 21 years or so, mainly Land Cruiser and VW related. I summarized my Mach 1 journey and gave a brief review of the car on a Wix site builder and thought I would share. The font style is not my favorite but, evidently, it can’t be changed on the fly! Thank you for this forum and all of the information you folks provide!

well written review, beautiful car, congrats! I am not sure if you have any interest in making more power and throwing away your warranty, but a few minor bolt ons and tune and you will awaken the car mightily. These cars respond very well to modifications. Congrats on the new ride!

I’ve considered it, the car has pretty ideal balance, in that, I don’t feel like the powertrain overrides the chassis too much. The car only gets driven about 3500-5000 miles per year so warranty isn’t a huge concern. I’ve looked at going big (that orange Whipple from Steeda!), but I worry it may be a bit much for the street and open track days up at High Plains. I live in Denver so I would imagine FI would make a significant difference on the NA motor. Honestly my full bolt on F150 Eco with a 93 tune may be quicker in a straight than the Mach up here, haven’t tested that theory though. As far as emissions compliant bolt ons, what would you consider most beneficial? Thanks!

Take the Mach to Estes Park, it would be a fun drive in one of my favorite places. Heck, anywhere outside of Denver is a fun place to drive.

That is a beautiful drive! I ran Peak to Peak Highway in the fall and the Mach was in its element. I stayed right with a C7 through the twisties and I think my exhaust woke up Jack Nicholson when I drove by the Stanley!
