FWIW, I've never had a dealer refuse a warranty claim due to anything I had installed. However, I've also never had an engine or driveline failure claim to make. I feel like it's a gray area. My dealer assures me that since I bought the car from them, they take care of things like warranty on modded cars.... but that's obviously verbal and a sales tactic. As far as I know your powertrain warranty would only be 3yr/36k miles from your in service date once you installedthe supercharger. The Ford extended warranty wouldn't change that.
So if you wanted to pay your car off first like you said in an earlier post, the supercharger may not make sense warranty wise. Let's say you paid the car off in 3 years. Then you installed the Roush supercharger. You would have no powertrain warranty. Roush wouldn't warranty it, and neither would Ford. If you want to mod, those extended warranties rarely make sense. Although if your radio breaks or your a/c goes out, I guess they would fix that.
