As a passing thought...there's obviously something about the style of the car that drew you to it. Maybe instead of the rocker stripes, possibly hunt for old movie memorabilia, matchbox, model, magazine, even something collectable involving Steve McQueen himself, something that would tie in with the era, the movie and the car. That could be pretty cool.

it’s called hot ridding and not everyone will like what you do... it’s got a GT500 hood and front Facia..a Roush rear spoiler, McQueen wheels,
All is good!! The purists will hurl chunks!!! lol
