This was a review of the product that someone ordered from a distributor and it also had gouges and scratches in the urethane already while being in twisted Bacon state.Hard to see (since I did not see mine before install) but what’s wrong with it ?
No you have to take it to a bodyshop, only comes in primerDo they paint match or do you have to get that done yourself? I also had a cervinis lower grille and at approx 150 mph the grille separated and damaged my front assembly quite a bit.
Looks great....but that front license plate bracket..why?Got the bumper done too, Had no issues, it came in complete box however no insulation direct from Air Design, no damage other than some slight surface scrapes on the splitter paint, The shop showed me that the splitter appeared to be painted by looking at the rear of the cover which had black overspray on the splitter and not molded black material or textured like the side skirts so they repainted it a matte black color matched to the smooth non-textured Roush rocker winglets I have.
GT/CS upper / lower grille fit and ACC works.

I also work and park in a government facility and use front license plate capture. I doubt People put them on aftermarket bumpers, so it becomes more subtle and as if it came from the Factory. I also have a Nondo ZUS camera I attach to it for parking and needs to be up high to get better view. I place it via the top bolts on the license plate frame for best view. anything lower... it wont get the guides right for the high curb place I frequent, which has a rear line limit which you cannot stick your car out past and no rear in parking permitted.Looks great....but that front license plate bracket..why?
Well at least you got something to protect it. To bad that camera would not work on a show in goI also work and park in a government facility and use front license plate capture. Was that with or without the metal support braces they added to the kit later? I like the way the Cervinis looks the best but it seems like it would have been easier to just close off some of the lower grill instead of adding supports.I also had a cervinis lower grille and at approx 150 mph the grille separated and damaged my front assembly quite a bit.
I still have it and it is still doing fine, some small indentations have formed around my parking lamp and side skirt on one side, it is due to the instructions originally not mentioning that the bumper goes on a non pp bellypan and wheel well liner. Extra holes had to be made to get the PP belly pan to fit and some of the pp wheel liner stretched out one side of the bumper a little. you can only really notice if you look inside the wheel well liner on one side that it has more gaps between the liner and side of bumper vs the more flush other side.I know this thread is somewhat old but I was looking for an update from those that have the AirDesign front bumper. Still happy with it? Any issues come up? @olaosunt @Mustangpursuit
Thanks for the update. I'm still on the fence as to what to do with my black Bullitt. I have a grille without the chrome edge which I think will help a lot. This Air Design is a somewhat subtle change compared to a GT500 or GT350 bumper.I still have it and it is still doing fine, some small indentations have formed around my parking lamp and side skirt on one side, it is due to the instructions originally not mentioning that the bumper goes on a non pp bellypan and wheel well liner. Maybe if I have time, I might take it back to the shop and have a non pp liners and belly pan put on and bumper re-adjusted properly and maybe have them use heat or something to smooth out the indentations. but you would have to look hard to notice, just gives off a slight light reflection change on one area above parking lamp. Otherwise I am happy with it.
Also it has a factory level extended splitter that is functional and sturdy and not flimsy and works well at high speeds, a reason why steeda uses it on their high performance packages you can get. Thanks for the update. well I ordered the bumper today. I went trough American Muscle with a 6% discount code and free shipping. At least with a scheduled delivery I will be there to inspect prior to signing for it. I have seen and heard of nightmares from LTL shipments. So hopefully in a few weeks.....we'll see. Also it has a factory level extended splitter that is functional and sturdy and not flimsy and works well at high speeds, a reason why steeda uses it on their high performance packages you can get.
