Yesterday went to an autocross sponsered by Jag club of central NY. I was 9 of 16 total cars. Times range from fast (Pantera built for this) 40.981, to slow of 53.134 (BMW i8). I was 48.421. Good time as I never saw this course before unlike half the other drivers. Jag uses SAME course over the entire USA.

I didn't do anything to my Mustang today, but I decided that confession would be cleansing.

I love this forum and seeing all of the great things that Mustang owners do with our cars to make them the way we like them. I pick up ideas here and there of things that I end up doing. That having been said:

I regularly us 87 octane gas;
I only use one bucket (with a grit guard) when I wash my car in the warm months;
I sometimes run my Mustang through a soft-cloth car wash with the "chassis bath" in the cold months to get the salt off of the chassis;
I like the look of my factory 20" wheels, despite their unnecessary weight;
I do not have ceramic on my finish, although I do use Turtle Wax's Ceramic Spray Coating several times a year and I think that my paint looks good;
I drive my Mustang as my daily driver every day, regardless of the weather;
I have black wheels for my winter tires, but now wish that I had gotten some with a silver finish.

I trust that some of you may decide that I am a barbarian for the way that I treat my Mustang, but I love driving Mustang GTs as much as any of us, and I get that joy every day, year 'round.

Thanks.
Lol. You're basically me except for 2 things

I only run 93 because higher octane option generally have better detergent and stabilizer additives. FWIW, I run 93 in my lawn mover, motorcycle, chainsaw, etc... They all start easily in the spring and I've never used Stabil or anything like it.

Also, I can't get behind 20s or really even 19s. Too much worrying about bending a rim every time you hit a pothole or road plate. In the northeast, that happens way too often and the extra sidewall on an 18 is much appreciated.

Other than that... I've even driven on a dirt road and tried not to worry about the paint.

I need to take better videos but rear view is much better to me.

Why are we looking at an empty passenger seat?

That's awesome. How does it compare? I've been hesitant to do that because of over protection paranoia.
Best decision I could make. Wish I could have done it sooner. Both platforms are great, but hands down, this is the way to go!

A long story short: I'm keeping my car.

Nearly everything aside from the wheels and rokblokz are back on. Changed up the rear some to go further with the pseudo GT350 look:

Installed Steeda Ultralight lowering springs and sway bar, Ford Performance struts, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates. My dad helped, even though he doesn't see the point of modifying the car. Took us 8 hours but at least it's done. Just need to do the back and fine tune it.
