New 2021 GT500 Orders

Just curious if anybody else has had happened what just happened to me yesterday. On the Ford shop.com website where you can track your mustang build and delivery date mine has been delivery date of NA since last week with no build date as of today. Yesterday my dealer told me that my build date is the week of June 21, but he had no delivery date. Originally my delivery date was July 14, before it got pulled. I just sent him a copy of what I have been getting when I go into Ford.shop.com.

Just curious what other people who ordered GT 500's this winter are being told by their dealers ?

Mine was scheduled week of July 18 with dealer telling me it would be here in August. The website previously said August 27 at dealer and now is showing NA. I live way up north in Canada so by October we can not drive muscle cars because of snow. I am really considering canceling my order and just ordering a 2022. Are they for sure making the GT 500 for another year? I ordered on February 12, waiting this long is just crazy IMO.

March 18. It has been pushed back 3 times.

I have a Vin. Number and a order number. My dealer told me the same week as you, but the ford shop site still has NA. The production is starting up again in June, so the regional reps are telling all the dealers the same thing, unfortunately it's not accurate.

I live in Maine, so from a weather standpoint our season is generally over around mid October. So I am considering canceling mine and just order a 2022 or take my $ 100,000.00 and buy a LC 500. I am really not crazy about receiving a $ 120,000.00 mustang in October and then putting in the garage for 6 months.

Officially I have canceled my ordered and got my deposit back today. No more 2021 GT500 for me. Perhaps in 2022.

what did your dealer tell you about a delivery date before you canceled your order ?

Just found out my dealer that I bought my 2020 GT500 base from had a allocation for a CFTP sitting in their back pocket. I asked who they were saving it for and they said "you"! Ordered it loaded with Antimatter Blue paint and painted black stripes! Now the waiting begins, again. I had to wait over 11 months to get my 2020 but at least this time I have one to drive while I'm waiting!

Mine got pushed back to 8/3 now. Oh well i'm not needing right now. Plus the weather will be nice still in TX.

Any projected build dates are just best guesses at this point due to the chip shortage. The plant is scheduled to reopen on June 14th, but the date is subject to delays due to the chip shortage. I think that Ford turned off the ETA function because it was worthless, so that is why it only shows N/A.

All the build dates will continue to change until the plant actually reopens for production.
