Try this:
My driveway is 100% the worst case scenario for scraping, and those two spots are doing most of the work (I get zero scraping now). Yes, you can slightly see those bits from in front of the car, but it's necessary because of those leading edges, as you know. Note that the pic is from a single box of sliplo, and I added a 2nd box to cover all those empty areas before putting it on the car just in case.
