Sooo. This Maybe a dumb question but..could a bad battery cause an 02 sensor failure? The car is at Ford now. Mechanic said battery went dead when running test on the car. He said "the Factory battery tests good.( which is weird to me if the battery went dead when running test) Charging and starting systems test good too. It's got to be a pcm problem or a wiring problem. I checked the wiring and wiggled it while I checked it and can't find anything wrong with it". Im not sure if he sees something wrong with the pcm or he just making an assumption because there's nothing else it could be. Should I replace the battery first?

No. What the tech say about the O2 ?
I'm going to talk to the mechanic tomorrow when I pick up the car. But to me it doesn't sound like he pinpointed the problem. More so like he's making assumption. Wires look good, 02 sensors brand new ,02 sensors extensions are new.. only thing left is the pcm. I think that's his thought process

I replaced the passenger side bank 1 sensor1 4 times since October. I replaced it again last week and it blow as I was pulling out of the driveway after I Installed it. "02 heater circuit " is that's inside the 02 sensor? Pull the circuit down? Sorry... what do you mean Pull circuit down? Thanks

I've had the same tune for 3 years. Tune don't go bad over time right?
Oh my bad.. thought you just got the tune. Still doubt it's the PCM. You buying FORD OEM o2's or NGK equivalent ?

What i mean is depending on how the wire the heater circuit and internally on the control module can effect other sensors and throw codes for known good sensors/circuits.

example I hade a chevy throw crank circuit codes but threw diag traced it back to a 5 volt ref circuit for the cam sensor (the pcm shared the 5 volt reference circuit internally in the pcm but it wasn’t shown in the wiring diagram) I have had the same thing happen with oxygen sensors.

also check the pin fitment on the connectors, that is one of the hardest things to diag. Take a close look at the pins in the connector there is a tab that connects to the male pin by friction. If all else fails try and hard wire the connectors to
rule out bad pins.

A faulty pcm is unlikely in this case if its internment.

First yes a bad battery can cause o2’s to fail. I don’t know why someone would say no but it can. The chances of it causing the same o2 to fail over and over are probably 1,000,000,000 to 1.
I would change all o2’s at once check for short or melted wires from the o2 all the way to the pcm.
