I ordered no stripes from the factory because I didn’t like how the stripes left a gap around the edges. I took my car to have vinyl stripes and PPF installed. 2 concerns I have.

1) those with vinyl stripes and PPF how was the PPF installed and how has it held up?

2) those that have experience with vinyl stripes are they tapered outwards? See photo.

My Installer said they are all going to have a taper. Those with vinyl stripes can you post a front end straight on shot for my reference? With all the hassle and potential longevity issues of the vinyl I’m thinking of taking them off and sticking with no stripes. Installer said he will fix any issues and is standing behind his work. So that’s good, I’m just not sure if I’ll be happy with the vinyl several years down the road. I do love the look though!

The stripe kit I have was ordered through big worm and installed by a local detailer. Did you do the install? If you did was it difficult?

No had it installed but big worm says that it will taper in by design.

I also ordered mine with no stripes for the same reason. Here is what it looks like now.

Looks nice! Local shop do the install? Do you have PPF over it?

That's installer error when they taper. The most important thing is to keep the center spacing straight. I did my smaller pieces one piece at a time.

The stripes should not taper inward or outward. They should be perfectly parallel. Here's a pic of my factory vinyl.

I bet it’s hard though. You got to wonder if they mess up at factory and have to redo them time to time.

I've done front and hood vinyl stripes a couple times and no, it's not easy but I will say that a laser level that can throw a perfect line is an invaluable tool. They're also supposed to be perfectly parallel, at least by Shelby standards anyway.
