Hi guys, a lot of you have been helping me along the way with my search for a 350R which has been greatly appreciated. I’ve come in contact with a private seller that has a car I’d be very interested in. It’s older than I ideally wanted, but the details make me believe it’s something to consider.

2017 Ruby Red R, 1500 miles, 1 owner, never tracked, no window tint or PPF though. 3 year warranty expired but rest remains in effect with option for extended warranty. Seller is asking $63.5 firm.

it’s the color my wife and I really like, but would have preferred the newer additions that the 2019 MY had to offer, but it’s not a deal breaker.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated!

I own an 18 and 19 and I will say the only thing that I like better in the 19 is the B&O

the BLISS, CF dash are not deal breakers and I could live without.

Also I think the all black interior in the 17 looks great on Ruby Red. Not all exterior colors look good with the red seat accents of the 19 and up IMO

Price is good. A black 17 with 2200 miles just sold yesterday for $70k with buyers premium.

it was actually a 2016 if you are talking about the BAT one that sold. with the BAT 5% fee it sold for $71,400.

That’s a pretty good price all things considered. I’m sure you’ve done a lot of searching. The color alone is pretty rare. If he was to list it with one of the national sites it probably will not last long. The pickins for these cars is starting to get slim. The prices are going up, regardless of what the naysayers think.

Jesus! Is that just an oddity or what? $63.5 firm for this seems reasonable. My ideal price point for a 17 would be $61.5. $2k doesn’t seem like a price difference to lose this car over though.

Thanks for you comments. I like the carbon fiber IP, but it’s not a make or break. Could do a aftermarket mod on the cheap that looks nice. But honestly I’m more looking for a great car for a few track days and fun to cruise the winding roads north of Phoenix area.

Are the drilled rotors much less efficient than the solid rotors of the 2019/20’s to really be concerned about?

Might I also add, there is a 2019 R in twister orange (not my fav color) here in town. 2600 miles for $69.9.

Am I a fool not to consider this?

I do not think you are out of line at your price point for a 3 year old soon to be 4 year old used car. I'd be right there too if I was a buyer. But if it checks all the boxes and you want to keep it for a awhile then...eating $2k doesn't seem to bad. Maybe there's some middle ground to be found?

I'm not a buyer for the silver one but I was shopping them pretty hard. Curious which one you found. If it's a dudes name for the dealer, I think I know ;)

the sale guy is jim kempton (retired USAF), good fellow seems like. he said straight up NO ADM and it's got 6 miles on it. the only thing was their $800 doc fee. i'd try to get that way lower if buying.

The owner has sent me a lot of very detailed pictures and videos and I’m pretty impressed with the condition of this 1450 miles 2017z interior and exterior look flawless, cup 2s look like they are in excellent shape.

He has offered me to come check it out and if we go with it, he’ll cover shipping from Houston to Phoenix. That right there is $1100 bucks.

I think my only hang up is the warranty clock being far along. Obviously out of 3 year and roughly 1.5 years or so left on power train, I’m thinking it couldn’t hurt to pursue extended warranty.

I think if he’ll cover shipping, I’d probably be thrilled if he took $62.5 due to no window tint of PPF. We thinking thats something to lock down?

She is a pretty car. I like the after market stripes and it’s nice to know I can ditch them if they look too busy in person with the black painted roof.

FYI 2019 is orange fury, a much lighter color than twister orange for 2020

That's the one. I tried to buy it but they were at 10k as it was being built. I called the owner (Gary Smith) and he came down to $4k which I still wasn't going to do. Went out the next weekend and bought one for MSRP.

If that car is MSRP, someone should grab it. One of the last 10 or so Rs built (not sure on HEP) and it is the last silver one.

PS - the oldest lie in the book is that the owner is going to keep it for his self....or that the owner ordered it for a friend but they backed out...all of these are such BS.
