I’m sure this has been asked plenty of times before but I’m asking again haha...
I’m looking for a bit more straight line grip but I don’t want to ditch the factory 2015 pp 19” wheels. Anyone have any recommendations on tire/ size that works well on the factory setup?
I currently have 275/40/19 Michelin ps4s on the rears and I can’t stay hooked in third :/
any help would be appreciated...

I didn’t realize they made a 275/40/19. Good to know... thanks!

That’s what I was gonna ask... can a 305/35 actually fit a PP wheel?

Haven’t looked into it at all but just offhand...What’s the difference between the nitto NT555r2 and the NT05r?

Lots of folks are torn on whether or not this fits the 9.5” rim well. They do make a 285/35 that might be a good compromise but the speedo would need calibrating.
Yeah they fit you have a 4 inch sidewall with the 305 35. tight but they fit

05r has a treadwear rating of 0 and traction B (poor in wet).

555r2 treadwear is 100 (nominally a 10,000 mile tire) and traction A.

Nitto says the r2 hooks as good as the 05r.

I have the Nitto NT555Rii. They are excellent for street use.....smooth, quiet and they hook very well. Rain is not a problem, either.

What kind of power are you at?

Probably low 600s. For 100% drag strip use, I wouldn't want low profile 19 inch rubber. However, for street use, these are great. They hook exceptionally well.

Some people also recommend Toyo R888r, too. I think they are more expensive but supposedly very good.

I think I’m high 700’s so I’m sure there aren’t many if any street tires that can hook at that level but anything better than what I have would be great.
