Just heard from an inside source that the new Raptor will come standard with a 7.3L (427) and an optional supercharged V8... I would assume a 5.0 but not sure as of yet. Gonna be way better than the 3.5 ecoboost in that tank i'm sure. If anyone was wondering :ontheloo:

That’s going to be a hell of a truck.

Thanks for posting! I'm really excited to learn more about this, see reviews, etc. The TT V6 is a good engine but it sounds like garbage.

3.5 eco is a great engine. Except for the timing chain stretch and the phasers. Atleast in the f150 anyways

audio is horrible in this video but it doesn't sound like a v8 here. that or its crazy a very restrictive exhaust on purpose to confuse people.

They have to do something to compete with the new Dodge Ram TRX.

I agree that the hp and tq numbers in the new TRX are impressive, but are 0-60 times what these trucks are about? If ford does offer a predator engine in it then thats great, but if its an updated 3.5 eco I would gladly buy it over the TRX. The real competition would be if the TRX beats it in off road standards. if it demolishes the baja 1000 times things that the Raptor stands for.

On a side note the TRX is advertised with 702 HP which is a whooping 252 more than the Raptor. Tune only Raptors are producing similar 0-60 with much much less power.

I'm biased though so if your a Mopar guy this is fantastic news!
