We were out at HPT for a track night last night, and spotted a couple of Mustangs, a S197?, and a couple year old GT350, both dealer tags! Guess they took them out for a shake down run.

Dealer plates? Or dealer paper temp tags?

Maybe some folks just bought themselves some Mustangs, and took them to the track before they got their real plate(s) in the mail?

I'd say that's a generous dealer, to allow on-track test drives.

This dealer buys a LOT of out of state Mustangs and re-sells them here. I tried to buy one from them when I first started looking. Glad that deal didn't happen!

I often wonder what they did to my car before I bought it. I bought it with 400ish miles and the average MPG was 6. I have driven my car hard for long periods of time in the canyons - one route I take is 2 hours of non-stop twisties - and the worst I've ever seen is 11mpg. Whatever the dealer was doing (before the break-in period was up mind you) was HARD - had to have been a track day. The car's fine, seems no worse for wear and has 42,000 miles now so whatevs.

We could send you videos of what they did, but not sure you want to see it. I would just say, I would not want my future car to be handled by anyone at that dealership. I get they are made for these things, but that's for the customer to do, not the dealer.

Sorry, I was replying to XS. Just about their promo videos of Raptors, RS's, GT350's, etc.

Gotcha. I wish they would let me put the drone up. My older son does great work with the drone and some aerial photo action would be great.
