Very interesting. So how does one know if a Mustang has rev matching trans before driving it ?

If you are looking to buy a manual, you don't need it. You can do it yourself.

If you buy it, you look in the setup screens and use it for a month and then turn it off.

You can do better than the computer can.

Hi-PO Stang ordered an EB with the HPP. The confirmation he received said the 6 speed had rev matching. Obviously he is very disappointed and rightfully so to be told that it doesn't. Pretty much like the 2019 Bullitt owners who were told they were getting FordPass Connect and didn't.

did the window sticker say rev matching 6 speed trans or just 6 speed trans?
Just 6-speed manual, but my Bullitt has it. I think all 2019 GTs have it, but not absolutely sure. Not all EBs, though, if at all. Somebody mentioned all 2020s having it, but also not sure. It's a VERY nice feature :D, especially since it can be turned on or off easily.

One thing I have learned from all these posts is that there may be thousands who have a 6 speed manual Mustang with rev matching and they don't even know they have it unless they push the engine to the limit and slam the gear lever into position. How will I prove to Bikeman 315 my to be built Mustang will have a rev matching trans.

Hey man I’m on your side. I hope you get it. This should have been a feature on the EcoBoost from the get go.

By the way rev matching on the Mustang works on the downshifts.

If it's turned on, you'd know pretty quickly :D. No way you can master throttle-blip downshifts on this car right off the bat, and every time, especially in normal mode (throttle map is not aggressive enough). The computer does it perfectly (and aggressively) every time. I think it comes turned on from the factory, but even if it's off, it's the first thing that pops up when you click on the pony button, so hard to miss :).

Having said the above, not sure where the setting is on cars without PP, which have no pony button. Probably on 'vehicle' settings. Or maybe 'driver aids'.

My base 2020 PP1 car has rev matching but it doesn't say it on the window sticker. Turned it off before I even drove off the lot.

Well I’m shocked. Ordered 7/9, was sent an email from Ford saying 10/5 build date....no other communication from Ford...car was delivered yesterday. Less than 30 days from ordering. Incredible.

So happy I went with the blue stitching. Only thing I’m debating is should I have the front splitter installed? I’ll be driving it more so how bad do they scrape? Can’t be worse than the R

I have my splitter on. Rarely scrape. Had the car for just over one year now. Just be careful and know your surroundings.

I just got word from Ford that my Ecoboost 2.3 Hi-PO has been built and is to be delivered early September. Originally , it was scheduled to be built 1st week in October. It appears Ford has ramped up production of the Mustangs. Anyone trying to order a 2020 PP2 ?

make sure you tell them not to drill the front plate!!!

Get a non drill plate holder instead.
I got the Sho N Sto bracket and like it for a certain feature. It protects my PP2 splitter. It is mounted using the existing holes and hangs just a little further lower than the splitter. This way, the plate scrapes instead of the splitter and I can readjust.

Enjoy the new car!!
