Air to Air IATs

What kind of IATs do the Centrifugal supercharged cars see on 75 degree days. I’m trying nail down the benefits of going to a Vortech setup. Anybody have some good data logging on intake temps?

What kind of info are you looking for? Idle temp? Boost level ? Length of pull? All those things really affect iat...

When cruising most see only a couple degrees above ambient.

Here’s a good example of a 3rd-4th gear pull with a little heat already in the system. Procharger stage 1 intercooler running just short of 11lbs.

You want IAT2 not IAT1

He needs a dedicated ZT-2 unit to read IAT2 close to the TB, and use that for a reference for his tuner

I would just use a break out harness and a iat sensor by itself separate from the maf. That’s how I run mine for my water/meth

That’s cheaper for sure if the IAT2 pid is in his 15 Ngauge or SCT device?

it will show as your iat1 just let the tuner know that you moved the iat sensor. Use the ambient air sensor as you iat1 data and the iat sensor as iat2 data

3.85" pulley +4F over ambient

WOT:
4.75" pulley +20F over ambient
3.85" pulley +40F over ambient (3.85" pulley w/meth injection +25F)

I used to see a couple degrees above ambient before. Now with IAT sensor in the manifold it’s usually 15* or so above ambient. When I go wot it will drop momentarily

This is so weird to me. 3.85, and wastegate too and I'm sitting at like 15-20 above ambient cruising in 5th like 2600-3k rpm.
