Just an FYI you could buy the Bullitt calipers for WAY less than that of the 350R kit. Assuming you wanted it because of the red calipers. If not then sorry for the pointless post lol
Yes, I definitely could, but the quality on the GT350R big brake is way better than the Bullitt upgrade kit.
Not crapping on that Bullitt kit, but every time I see these Signature Wheels and the GT350R brakes, I melt. lol

Someone say 18" Drag Pack?

And you thought you had to ruin a GT500 to get the best of both worlds :)

Thanks so much for finally testing this out Steve.

Great news is the 18” rear wheel clears all the suspension and brake components. Looks like the only modification needed to make our 18” rear wheel work is running a smaller bolt/washer on the lower camber arm (I think it’s the camber arm). This will be similar to running the low profile IRS bolt on the 03/04 cobra. Then it is smokey burnouts for days.

More data to come soon on a suggested washer and possible low profile bolt.

Ok boys, back with a fortuitous update.

Came out to Florida amid all this madness to ensure fitment on a set of wheels we built for Sam at Coastal Dyno. Today we were able to mount his Signature Wheel Drag Pack SV104. These are built in a 20x9 / 18X11.5 and finished in Gloss Gunmetal. Very glad to say definitively that the rear 18" wheels clear the lower suspension link, bolt, and washer without any modification. Clearance here is tight at about 1-2mm. The washer and bolt are one piece, but the washer is built fairly large compared to the surface area on the link it contacts. There should not be much concern of anything getting stuck between the barrel and wheel as the rounded surface would kick off any debris, but I could see switching to a smaller bolt/washer combination for added room. However, that is not something required to get the wheels on the car or to go launch it at the track.

After completing the test fitting we got Sam's car on the ground for the first time to see those 325 Mickey Thompson ET Street R touch the floor.

Fortunately we had the opportunity to also test a rear wheel on Tyler/Jeff Scofield's GT500 as well. Here is some media for you to digest as we await several other drag pack setups. I am flying back home tomorrow to hide back in my cave.

I like to disassemble things.
Looks to me like an opportunity for a custom rod ended link for added clearance...

Along the lines of what I'm talking about. A reduced diameter bearing/bushing and a button headed screw would go a long way here.

Wheels look good! Curious though...maybe it's the style of wheels now, but can you not run any significant amount of lip on the GT350/500 because of the brakes? I'm still new to the S550s.

I thought tires are 315/30?

edit:
4-Cup 2, 315/30 is what I purchased

We can definitely build a wheel with a lip, but you will need a Multipiece wheel. The Monoblock designs have a spoke that runs to the edge of the wheel lip. With monoblock wheels the name of the game is concavity. Multipiece wheels are all about the wheel lip, and concavity if you can get it.

Did you go with the Mickey Thompson? Are you thinking 325/35 or 315/40?

Someone please try an 18” bias ply slick on this car!
M&H or Phoenix makes 18” bias ply slicks.
It’s still a stick (DCT), it’ll respond to a bias ply better than a radial.

Im still Debating 305/45 or 325/30 MT ETR or now hoosier 325/45

I think ill get the 305/45

Id go bias ply, but im not swapping front, and its really only getting 1 more drag race day, the rest will be rolls, so i want the stiffness there

I’ve ran the 325/45 Hoosier on my ‘14 GT500 and it is a BIG tire. It’s just over 30”.
I honestly like the Demon Nitto size at 315/40/18 but I know Nitto doesn’t hook as well although from a roll I’ve had success with Nitto, you just need to have some heat in them and drop the pressure.
They will be much nicer on the street and highway and at high speed over all other DRs.
Good point on the wide radial front with the bias rears, but I do want to see how the DCT launches on bias plys

well, De-Evloution ran on 15" BP tires, didnt seem to help the 60 any with no tcm tuning. I ordered the 305/45 ETR today. I think they will work just fine for the job the 18s need to to. My next issue is finding a 20" that will do it as well.
