BMW Show Off (Story time)

No, there was no street racing. This took place at my drive way. It's been four months and that means wax time for my wife's car. It's a white 2012 Corolla LE. Nothing special.

A guy in his 2004 BMW 325ci convertible pulls up across the street from my house. Looks pretty nice and a convertible is great for this wonderful 67F day. Yeah, I glanced a bit at his clean BMW. I was mostly trying to see what kind it was. A kid in the back sit passed the baby to the front (to the mom) and the three kids jumped out. The guy driving the car saw me looking at his car. I don't know what went through his head because once the kids were out, except the baby that the mom was holding, he looked at me while he reved it and his tires did not burn, but squaked during the launch, as I could hear his inline six surging. The sound made me think of an inline four, actually. I didn't feel intemidated at all.

I don't really know why a 30 sum year old father would do that. As I opened the garage to pull the Corolla in, I thought to myself, would he have done the same thing if he had seen my S550?
