I get what you are saying. It's a nice looking wheel. But it hasn't been optimized for GT500 fitment and that is exactly what I laid out. Terrance is working on it but we're not there yet.

2020 GT500 brakes are massive.

Swap is going well with minimal issues encountered. Learned a few things I didn’t know. Happy that brake caliper clearance issues will be solved for the GT500 guys, and the Caliperfexion studs are reusable.

Still need to swap the other side, swap lines, and bleed the brakes

I don't think I will be, however I do think there is more demand for this style of wheel than you think. When you said a minimum of 10 units before your peeps shut the idea down, I was thinking no problem. I could certainly round up 10 people to order replica CF wheels to keep the OEM factory look.

I completely understand that your company and the style of wheels have not been or probably will every be replica OEM. However your original claim to fame was a fully forged wheel that gave us the caliper clearance relief that we all needed. That is what set your wheels apart from anyone else. People would like to have your wheel quality and all that goes along with it while preserving the $106,000 plus tax and title OEM look that is the signature of the CFTP. Blinging out a CFTP would require a certain preference that people of this demographic are probably not going to be interested in.

Try to keep an open mind. Id be happy to create a poll to test the waters, but I respect your decision to not offer this kind of wheel.
in addition to opening a market to any s550 that tracks their car, or wants the CF bling

Then why is Terrance purchasing GT500 brake components for fitment verification? Because none of the wheels have been on a GT500 yet. And estimates are nice but I was talking about actual wheels and not guesses.
If he wants to send of wheels for test fitment.. im sure i can get it done that same day.. maybe have a youtuber review em lololol ;)

Well, there is something to be said for investing in your future. The few thousand dollars spent to get GT500 brake hardware for more accurate measurements was worth it.

The new data allowed us to push into a deep concave for the GT500, which steps the game up from our medium concave currently achievable on the GT350.

Here is a CAD drawing of a set in production now. We expect to see these and several other sets done and in hands of the enthusiast by the end of January. As always a test fit on the car is expected before tires are mounted, but I am pretty damn excited about it.

Any of you GT500 guys on the fence let’s get things going by the end of the year. Something is coming January 1, and I want to make sure and save you guys any additional costs.

Merry Christmas!

That's Great! The more Concave the better? will this be able to be done on any set ordered for the GT500? will 2 piece wheels still have to be 21" or will be be able to do Concave 20" 2 piece wheels?

If you send me a set, I’d be glad to test them out with some Bridgestone Blizzaks here in Missouri.

Deep concave should be attainable on every set we build. Concavity is largely an aesthetic benefit, but it does also save some weight.

The Multipiece may be medium concave because of the wheel design, but it largely depends on the offsets. 21” will still be the minimum size to clear the brakes. No way around that.

Just what we need, snow plow testing lol. Let’s do it!

Just wanted to brush up on my rusty CAD skills so I played with one of the wheel sections posted above. No dimensions, just splines on a trace to get a profile I could revolve. Still need to extrude cut for the spokes, hub, and lugs but I can tell these wheels are going to be very nice.

In case you were wondering what the 2020 GT500 brakes will look like behind a set of our Signature Wheels.

Finished up the GT500 brake swap on my R. Caliper clearances are all good. Looking forward to shipping out the first few sets of completed wheels soon.

These will get some testing on a track day soon and hopefully compare braking distances between the stock GT350, GT500, and GT350 with the GT500 brake swap. Doing the best to have them all on the same tire and under the same conditions.

Looks great! Interested to hear about any bias imbalance or not. And what was the part number for the front brake hoses you ended up using T?
