I get what you are saying. It's a nice looking wheel. But it hasn't been optimized for GT500 fitment and that is exactly what I laid out. Terrance is working on it but we're not there yet.
in addition to opening a market to any s550 that tracks their car, or wants the CF blingI don't think I will be, however I do think there is more demand for this style of wheel than you think. When you said a minimum of 10 units before your peeps shut the idea down, I was thinking no problem. I could certainly round up 10 people to order replica CF wheels to keep the OEM factory look.
I completely understand that your company and the style of wheels have not been or probably will every be replica OEM. However your original claim to fame was a fully forged wheel that gave us the caliper clearance relief that we all needed. That is what set your wheels apart from anyone else. People would like to have your wheel quality and all that goes along with it while preserving the $106,000 plus tax and title OEM look that is the signature of the CFTP. Blinging out a CFTP would require a certain preference that people of this demographic are probably not going to be interested in.
Try to keep an open mind. Id be happy to create a poll to test the waters, but I respect your decision to not offer this kind of wheel.
If he wants to send of wheels for test fitment.. im sure i can get it done that same day.. maybe have a youtuber review em lololol ;)Then why is Terrance purchasing GT500 brake components for fitment verification? Because none of the wheels have been on a GT500 yet. And estimates are nice but I was talking about actual wheels and not guesses.
Deep concave should be attainable on every set we build. Concavity is largely an aesthetic benefit, but it does also save some weight. That's Great! The more Concave the better? will this be able to be done on any set ordered for the GT500? will 2 piece wheels still have to be 21" or will be be able to do Concave 20" 2 piece wheels?
Just what we need, snow plow testing lol. Let’s do it!If you send me a set, I’d be glad to test them out with some Bridgestone Blizzaks here in Missouri.
Just wanted to brush up on my rusty CAD skills so I played with one of the wheel sections posted above. No dimensions, just splines on a trace to get a profile I could revolve. Still need to extrude cut for the spokes, hub, and lugs but I can tell these wheels are going to be very nice. Here is a CAD drawing of a set in production now. We expect to see these and several other sets done and in hands of the enthusiast by the end of January.
That's awesome! Helps me get an idea what they are going to look like!Just wanted to brush up on my rusty CAD skills so I played with one of the wheel sections posted above.
