I use a piece of cardboard thats around 12 inches by 12 inches and jam it up in there and let the oil run down it like a waterfall, works great.

I did this too, with the shiny non-absorbent side of some leftover poster board. Plus a plastic bag around the filter when I got to the hand twisting torque. Plus lined everything else below with shop towels. Only a few drips due to operator error.

I’m going to try cutting up an old narrow plastic funnel into a half circle next time. I saw that trick on YouTube.

Finished up my MGW race spec shifter install. Now it will shift great at 7K+ RPM with no lockouts. Gotta say - I must be drinking the MGW kool-aid - it's the best shifter I've had in 30+ years of driving 3,4,5 and 6 speeds.

Uninstalled this noise cancelling device and installed a Steeda H-PIPE noise un-cancelling device. Just got back from a noise making test drive. Thumbs up!
