Hey everyone,

I am very torn right now. I have a set of 20" CDC Outlaw wheels in Gunsmoke on my Magnetic Mustang right now. The wheels have taken a beating from the road and a slight incident I had with a curb so they need to be powder coated again (purely for cosmetic reasons). I am thinking of having them done in gloss black to match the gloss black emblems I have on the car. I can also have them fixed to the same color they are now, but I am not sure how I feel about the satin wheels vs gloss paint.

My other thought is I could potentially sell the wheels and get a set of the black accent wheels that someone is selling in my area.

Objectively wondering what everyone thinks will look better. I am not sure going down to 19" will provide any benefit regarding ride quality but something else to consider.

The image provide isn't of my car as I don't have the red markers on the inside. Just a reference photo for color.

I really like the gunsmoke, I'm getting tired of my black wheels and might go a similar direction. I like the CDC wheels much better than the black accent package wheels, too.
Thanks for the feedback. I like the gun smoke also but the satin vs gloss drives me nuts. I’m considering doing the same color but gloss but it really matches the body and offers no contrast.

I’m partial to gunmetal so I was thinking of going that way instead of black.

Do you really want to try to keep black wheels clean? Gunsmoke will hide the dirt much better.

I get that it's just the black matches the black badging I put on and my black spoiler. I think it makes the most sense but open to feedback.

Your wheels are a major impact statement. They are the second thing that people look at after the body. Your badges and spoiler not so much. If anything I would change them to gunsmoke before getting gloss black wheels. Just MHO :)

That's a very good point. Here is the way the wheels look right now and then a picture of the color I was thinking of switching to. What are your thoughts about gloss vs satin?

First off your car is beautiful. Secondly I hope that blue car next to you is family :)
As far as the wheels, there is no wrong choice, as they both look great. The ones on your car have a PP1/OEM look to me. The Velgen wheels are just sick and would be my choice.
Lastly your wheels look just fine with your emblems and spoiler. Honestly, I had to go back and look at them. Didn't even really notice them. Overall a really nice look!

Thank you! I like them both as well. The Velgen wheels are great but I was using the photo as a reference for color and not style. I would have to find a buyer for my current wheels. It was more of a decision between current (satin) and gunmetal + gloss as pictured on the velgen.

As an FYI, the car has the PP1 spoiler on it now, the photo is just old and that spoiler is black. Attached a recent photo of it.

Oops, sorry about that. Car looks even better now.

Gloss looks fine, but I really like gunmetal. Od course bronze looks hot on a magnetic car. Really sets it apart.

I agree, big fan of gunmetal. I think I will switch the color over to a gloss gunmetal like what is in the Velgen wheels.

I had thought about bronze but the wife didn't love it. Gunmental is a safe choice. I will share some photos once I have them re-done. Should be sometime in the next few months.
