I asked him about it:![]()
Piston issues seem to be more prevalent than OPGs on Whipple cars. Doesn't seem to matter whether they are stage 1 or stage 2. It is a bit troubling.....
Might be smart to have a warranty, too. LolExactly, its become a issue....
E85 is probably the smartest thing u can do with a boosted 12.1cr coyote other than MAYBE running a stage 1 kit at easy boost with a octane booster
Yep, Me there is NO way I'd opt out of a warranty on my new mustang, I'd add ocatane booster every single tank of 93 and just be happy with the companies canned tune....If it let's go, I have a warranty...Otherwise your SCREWEDMight be smart to have a warranty, too. Lol
From a pure safety perspective, the Roush/Ford Performance alliance is likely the best bet. Even when they roll out phase II, my guess is that it will be a bit more conservative than the other guys.....just because it has Ford's name on it.

Question: Does the Roush warranty expire after the CAR has been in service 36 months or is it 36 months after installation of the supercharger? I know how it works with the Whipple and EB warranties but not sure about Roush.
My gut sez he didnt, not smart and the other guy that just blew up told me he never ran booster ever, again not smartI always planned to boost the octane at the drag strip. However, in the videos we have posted, the engines failed during street use.
I asked "coyote guy" if he had ever datalogged the whipple tune but his answer was not clear. I am thinking most people just load the tunes and assume they are safe.
PLUS!!!!!!,.............Roush builds their cars for longevity. (We know that Roush leaves some power/torque on the table, but they do that on purpose.) I should know, I'm on my second Roush Stage 3 car now. lolFrom a pure safety perspective, the Roush/Ford Performance alliance is likely the best bet. I posted a video a couple pages back of this dude from a well known dealership that deals with Roush and explains it all very well.
