Guys that have changed their own oil pump gears. Question

On my engine the serp belt for the a/c to crank pulley has no tensioner on it. Just a tight belt. Had to remove a/c pump to get belt off an that sucked! Is that normal? It looks like there is a spot on the front cover for a tensioner but there was nothing there?

That is correct, there is no tensioner for the ac

It uses a belt that is designed to stretch. Wait until you put it on.

You are supposed to cut the belt off and then use a strap to get a new one back on. Getting the new belt on is difficult unless you have the right strapping tool. I used a dolly strap 2 inches wide.
