You can add 9 more VINs for a total of 1286. 7 CFTP and 2 Base.
Earl: At that ratio, I'd say Ford is definitely trying to get the Cup 2 cars out of town.

No Iconic Silver either. Seems like the Twisters and Iconics will all be Christmas builds

It's sure looking that way. I'm hoping it may mean they're thinking about building the base models in the Winter.:)

Definitely makes sense, considering that's exactly what they've done in the past with the GT350 vs the R models.

I'm not sure why this matters... Only a VIN is guaranteed to uniquely identify a vehicle. Is there some significance to "chassis number"? It seems to just be a synonym for VIN, anyway. At a fundamental level it's just an assembly SKU with a control number slapped on it. If Ford is really going to mark the engine, trans and frame with the same last 6, hand some guy a punch set, a hammer and a printout.
I agree that a VIN guarantees the unique identity for any specific Mustang whereas a "Chassis Number" is a clear indication of the build sequence for your Mustang.

If you have a very early chassis number obviously your car was built very early in the production run.

Of the 3 Base R models that I have owned the earliest chassis number that I have had is "HR019" therefore that car was the 19th R model built for that particular MY.

Back in 2010 and 2011 Ford assigned chassis numbers to the top of the intake manifold for the Boss 302 cars with unique chassis numbers being based on either a 2 seat or a 4 seat Boss 302.

Chassis numbers for the 2 seat cars started with "LSXXX" whereas the 4 seat Boss 302's just had a chassis number such as "0010" with the exception being for the 12 Boss 302 Pilot Production cars built for the 2012 MY whereby they started with "PP0001" which was a 2 seat Laguna Seca model and "PP0002" was a 4 seat regular Boss 302.

For the 2015 MY Ford decided to produce 137 GT350/R's for the 50th Anniversary model year (37 R's, 50 Track Pack, 50 Tech Pack cars) and decided to not provide unique chassis numbers for either the 2 seat or 4 seat cars and lumped them altogether with the first 37 cars being R models and having chassis numbers "F0001 to F0037" inclusive. The last 100 cars were a mix of Track and Tech Pack cars and were assigned in random order.

My 2015 GT350 Track Pack car has chassis number "F0077" therefore the 40th car produced for the Track and Tech Pack cars.

Jay Leno ended up with "F0036" based on Ford only producing 36 R models back in 1965 with "F0037" being allocated to John Atzbach who has the first R model from 1965.

Forward to the 2016 MY for the GT350/R cars after which time Ford again decided to differentiate the chassis numbers between the GT350 and the GT350R cars.

Example would be "HR001" which was the first R model built for the 2017 MY and was specially built for Raj Nair at the time whereas "H0001" would be the first 4 seat GT350 built for the 2017 MY.

Bottom line is do not count on Ford providing VIN and chassis numbers that match for the 2020 GT500 cars with the exception of Ford exec cars or charity cars such as the car built for Craig Jackson otherwise chassis numbers and VIN's will be all over the place.
