As non-retired veterans, we are not entitled to any form of military identification nor are we attached to any military address after we are discharged from active duty The only proof we have of prior service is our DD214. Is this an acceptable form of identification?

That is no longer true that DD214 is the only proof now for us veterans. You can go online to the US Department of Veterans Affairs and apply for a Veteran ID Card. This not only gets you an actual official photo ID card, but they give you a digital version for your use also, which is what I sent Steeda for my discount.

EDIT: Also, most states will now put an endorsement on your driver's license with proof of military service.
